I know that this place is going look fantastic and have great attractions, but I've really been excited to see what is in the shops.

I was hoping to take my family to see this, but apparently I am going to have to use their ticket money for the gift shop. Oh well... I'll take a lot of photos for them.

Ooh, excited to see what those Old Republic era statues are made from. Sideshow did an expensive bronze set many years ago. Assume these will be much cheaper but hopefully are a decent quality.

I'm so excited to build my own lightsaber at GE. Those two examples look pretty decent. I'm assuming the electronics will be similar to the Disney Parks Exclusive sabers.

The BYOLightsaber and First Order uniform are the two im interested in the most.... same with the flag.

Might be...

I found this info at Disney Galaxy edge build a lightsaber

Since the land takes place in the present trilogy, after the heyday of the Jedi, a scrapper has quietly collected all the parts needed to build a lightsaber, or so the story goes. Now, visitors can become the hero in their own story and fight evil in the galaxy once they piece together their weapons.

Disney did not give prices for the roughly 20-minute experience, although the introductory prices for a basic lightsaber base starts at $109 and the plastic blade costs $49.

There is actually more items shown. You can them at...

Notice the artisan photo... Cantina instruments

I know they are problem going to lean more to toys that replicas but, I can make it work in my collection.

More info about the instrument...

Many items, like an instrument that plays the well-known tune from the cantina scene in “A New Hope,” re-creates songs and noises from the films.

Hey all! I am so excited for this land, EVERY inch of it!!! Does anyone know the cosplay rules? I assume you can dress up because of the clothes they will be selling in-land (Jedi robes, first order uniform etc). I also remember reading blasters will still not be allowed in the park, and will not be sold. I was hoping to wear my Han Solo belt/holster in the park. Any ideas on a clever thing I could keep in the holster instead of my DL-44???

No problem for me.
I live 20 minutes away and have an annual
Pass.
Ill be there every weekend. Lol

I just want people to be aware that they may not be able to walk into the park and build a lightsaber. They may need to plan ahead. For some people, these actions are once in a life time so I don't want them disappointed.

Yeah, probably may need to download the Disney My Experience app to schedule an appointment.

The other thing people not familiar with the way these parks work these days, is that certain rides sell out go fast passes months ahead of time. If I remember correctly, resort guests can schedule 60 days ahead of time and others 30 days. The snow white roller coaster and the Avatar rides are such rides so without a fast pass they are two hour waits. I imagine the Galaxy Edge rides will be the same. People need to get on the app and plan their days as soon as possible. Same with dinner reservations.

If anyone is not familiar with the Disney Parks and plan to go, I stress downloading the parks apps and going the website and read the info about Fast Passes and how many you can pre-schedule. i also suggest if you have a friend that is a frequent visitor, you talk with them for park advice.

To be honest, anyone who’s traveling a long distance to go to Galaxy’s Edge may want to consider going a month or two later.
The congestion in the park will be be unbearable and they may even shut down the park entries due to capacity.
Waiting a month may ease overall congestion but not line wait times though.

I believe September is the slowest month for
Disney so may want to consider that.

The biggest problem for most families is that they are restricted to certain dates based on if they have school age children. That's the big reason certain times of the year are more crowded than others. So spring break, summer break, Thanksgiving break, and holiday break are going to have big crowds.

Weekends are always going to be busy because there is a huge Florida population within driving distance that have seasonal passes so they can show up any weekend they want to on a whim.

So if you can go anytime of year, try to go on a weekday that is not in conjunction with a school break period. BUT.... I still suggest the advice I posted earlier and plan your trip and rides ASAP if certain experiences are more important. Even with low crowd sizes. these popular rides will sell out of fast passes days, weeks, even months in advance. And I would not count on waiting only a few months for the popularity of the ride to wear off for the next few years.

If you can't get a Fast Pass, the other thing to can try to do is that if you are a Disney Resort Guests, on certain days, guests get to enter the park an hour early. So you can show up before the gates are open. And when they open... haul ass (safely) to the ride of your choice. This will probably reduce you line wait time that you will encounter shortly after park opening.
