You can just screw the lever in some more. It should be the exact same size.

Guess it depends what you are doing with the clamp he sells seperate, retro fitting it onto a Vintage graflex or even say the new Romans replicas the other clamps he sells are slightly bigger and do not close up as much as the vintage ones or the replicas do. You are still going to get a card in there as it is only a small but noticeable difference.

I received my two Graflexes today and it was love at first sight <3 Thank you, Roman, for making this possible. It's been more than worth the wait. Can't wait to get working on them! And hope to see a run of beautiful MPP's too! Will certainly be in on them as well...

Re: === G R A F L E X === Flashgun ... NOW SHIPPING!!!

Anyone have a recommendation for getting the Roman's grips off? I'm not happy with my placement.

Will they still stick?

Chances are that it won't stick as well. The tape will lift up sooner than later. I can't find that 3M tape where I live and I'm not a fan of epoxying grips.

The alternative that I've found is buying 4 lbs. strength Command Strip hooks at Walmart. I get the clear double-sided ones. They're thin and have sufficient adhesive. I discard the hooks and cut the strips to fit my grips. I wipe the flash with denatured alcohol (no film residue to interfere with adhesive). They will stick well.

Just a thought if you ruin the current adhesive strips.

Thanks for the advice, I'll be sure to use them if my other adhesive fails.

Mine arrived late December, but got my hand on it yesterday...
It's AWESOME!!!! Thank you Roman!!!! This is absolutely beautiful.
It's a working flash, guys... I don't know how some people complained about this... mine arrived in perfect condition. Turned into a ANH configuration.
Thanks again @RomansEmpire for making my dream come true!!!

Hi can anyone help me? I've received mine and it looks glorious! But I need a bit of advice on a couple of things as I'm new to this.

1) How do secure the ESB circuit board in place?
2) Do input the grips on so that they are flush with the bottom of the unit or pushed up to the clamp?
3) Is there a correct orientation for where the D clip needs to be position on the base in terms of where the Graflex logo is?
4) Does anyone know what the parts in the picture are used for?

Alright I got one of the grips off. The problem is the adhesive back came off with it. Does anyone know if 3M made the tape? What are some good alternatives?

Roy @ WannaWanga.com has some blueprints that should answer all you placement questions.

As far as the clamp card goes, you could tighten the clamp a rotation or shim it with something easy like paper. The part in the picture is for the clamp. It is meant to keep the clamp attached to the top of the flashgun (in real world use). I don't believe I've ever seen it used on a screen used prop (but I may be wrong). Screw goes through long slot on clamp and metal rectangle is threaded. Acts as the nut to secure screw.

If you attach that piece, put the clamp on flash top and then install screw.

I've had no luck finding an adhesive tape like the ones on the grips. The one's I've found are too thick :/

Re: === G R A F L E X === Flashgun ... NOW SHIPPING!!!

I was planning to make an ESB saber and am now concerned about the beer tab. I removed the red button and the tab seems attached on the other end. Has anyone removed it yet and did it leave a hole?

Thanks
