Hi!

I'm currently working on a Freddy Krueger 2010 sculpt. I'm posting some pics of my progress. I still have plenty of scars to do.

Of course, the hat is just a toy hat I'm using as reference. I will get a bigger and cooler hat.

You know, as a reference I always preferred the second head in the NECA Freddy figure. Have a look:

I always thought the snarl on his expression looked more like Freddy.

Hi!

I wasn't happy with my Freddy Krueger sulpt, so I started it all over again. Now I like it! I'm making a silicone mask out of it, I'll post pics and videos as soon as it's painted!

Looking forward to seeing how it all looks together.

Hi!

I've finally finished this. The mask was casted in silicone, not latex. I will have better pics soon, hopefully.

Even though I did not care for the new film, Your work here is fantastic

Dude thats awesome!!! What did you use for making the mold? And where do you buy silicone? Because this halloween I am going to be freddy and I am going to make a remake mask.

Thanks!

I made the mould with plaster. The silicone I used is a moulding silicone I bought in "Feroca", but I highly recommend using Dragon Skin if you have the money to pay for it.

not a huge fan of the new freddy but it looks pretty good - im surprised you didnt go with a full prostetic like in the old movies where there were a few different layers.

Hi!

I'm posting some new pics of the mask, as well as a couple of photomanipulations. I will be repainting this stuff, so any advice would be apreciated. What do you guys use to paint silicone masks?

Looks amazing, ide kill for a silicone freddy mask their so damn expensive though, and ifi had the skill or even the time, ide make one myself.

You can paint the silicone with more silicone!!! Grab some silicone caulking from a Home Improvement store. Tint with oil paints and thin with Naptha. You can brush on or thin to the point where you can get it through an airbrush. Then just seal it with a mist of just the caulking and Naptha over the whole thing.

Build up SEVERAL very thin layers of color to create a cool mottling effect and get some good shading in to make the details really pop! It's a great sculpt!

Thanks for the advice! That's more or less what I was doing so far. Problem is that it looks too matt and therefore fake. I'd need a more shiny finish.

Here you have a little video I made to check the range of movement of my mask (I had never seen me with the mask, lol)
