Need advice on Warhammer 40k Space Marine Shoulder Pads

Hey all,

This is my first time posting here so if I don't get some of the rules around here I'm eager to learn :) Recently I've been working on a Space Marine suit. I'd say I'm about 85% of the way there. I've finished all the pep and I've almost finished hardening all the forms (I'm using paper mache cause I'm a little too broke and short on space for resin) so its really just coming down to strapping the thing together, adding/refining details, painting, all that stuff.

Now in the pics attached I've got the upper half of the suit with the shoulders being raised by some books. Ideally, I want the shoulder pads to be attached there and to neutrally be in that position. Only problem is I don't know how to do that lol. Been racking my brain on this for a week now, and any help is appreciated! Thanks!

I got stl files for my pauldron attachments from @inquisitorcrafts on instagram. They're incredibly simple and surprisingly effective for what they are. It's a simple pin and socket that easily fits under the pauldrons. (Although I trimmed about half an inch off the pin. The big socket piece gets a screw or rod glued inside it (I used a combination of CA glue and five-minute epoxy) and the pin gets glued onto the underside of the pauldron. Pin goes over the screw, inside the socket, and your pauldron is on firmly. Even better, attach a strip of elastic to the underside of your pauldron that goes around your inner bicep. Safety chain innit.
