I agree the horns would be a too much addition at this point I think you have done all you can with this piece I think let someone else if they want something different then let them go for it.

probably do small detailing but yes,.....i'm drained on this one,...

got a little dinged up when i packed all my **** to move,....just the jaw part ,....so i might make that part an add-on also,......
seems like a good idea ,...i hope,.....we'll see if anybody even wants one before i go makin tons of add-on **** to go with them,....

Alright so i FINALLY got the silicone mold done,....
didn't make it super thick because of alot of the concave trnches in the design so ,...
i can easily turn it inside out to peel out the finished product,....
here's how the mold held up ,....
will pour a first cast tomorrow after work,...
the sculpt held up fine so in case the first cast fails,....i'll just remold the ****** until it's right,....

got one drying in the mold,....didn't have time this morning to pop it out so ,....once i get home frokm the tattoo shop
i'll see what i got and take a pic,.........update around 10 or 11 pm ,....hahah

first pull of the FOSSIL bio ,...
fit the half mask pretty well,.....got lucky because i didn't size it at all,...

experimenting with just auto body resin,....thought it might be cool to be transleusent < spell check ??
but ended up today grinding inks into the deep spots and misting bone colors over it,....
i like both styles but the dug-up dinosaur look is pretty cool looking,...
i'll take a pic after the matte finish,......still want to detail before i post it,...
might do a few in epoxy and a few in autobody ,.......so i can compare toughness and flex,...
all for now,....

Wow this just looks awesome! And congratulations for the success on your first pull. I sure want to see this bio painted, it will probably show the bio's details and give it a meaner look.

I gotta say I love the bios that are completely new, creative pieces of work the most.
All the P1 and P2 copies around are all well and good tributes and studies in sculpture, but unique masks like this that fit into the 'cultural' frame of the preds breath real life into the fantasy bloodline and show how truly excellent the artist is.

well thanks guys =)
did a paint up on it yesterday while at the tattoo shop ,.....
went for a dug-up dinosaur look,......no clear yet so it just looks dusty and old,.....
will more than likely try one sortof like a museum bone look,.......darker browns and yellow ochre with a thick protective gloss
kinda like a wooly mammoth skeleton look ,.....kinda hahahan
glad it's going good and you guys like it,.....
need more resin then i'll make a few and try different things out,.....

nah probably not,.....people can if they want but i figure the backstory on this thing is almost like if old predators found fossils from even older predators,.....
before they evolved and grew mandibles and all that **** ,......
this kinda went from a bio ,....to more of a skull that was found in the sand and worn as a trophy ,.....
guess it can be whatever people want it to be,......
beauty of customizing and custom paint,.....
thought about leaving one semi-clear but working sand into the resin as it's poured,......
not the first layer but maybe the one after,.....

thanks man,....some od the deep spots were a little too deep so ,.....
but since it's a dinosaur style it really doesn't matter,.....looks like little bits of stuff's
stuck in the crevaces,.......
still wondering about the eyes,......deciding whether to make them way thicker and just leave them open like skull sockets,...
or put old lenses in them that are cracked and frosted,.....
whatcha think ???
