Fossil Bio ,......new Custom In The Works

You know, I hate to say this, but screw it being a bio. I really think this could evolve into it's own full-blown species, like some sort of underground cave alien...

yea my bad i meant to respond to what ya said on facebook,....I DO think thats a good idea,....
might have to create a totally different species of prdator then,.....ones underground that found their way to the surface,...
or a trophy skull like was said earlier,......that might be cool too

where did you get it?
and how much did it cost?

didn't feel like ordering clay so i just went to michaels and found some coil clay by AMACO,....
it's water based but i've gotten used to the pains that come with it,....
sucks to water it all the time and if it sits too long under plastic it starts to stink,.....

probably have to fight mold soon if i don't get molds made PRONTO

Not at all it is your sculpt, so you have all the rights to it and if you want I would not mind the first trophy pull down the line if that is ok?

****** A ,......yea i'll def send ya one,....so far i've only made fiberglass resin bio's to make them as strong as possible,...
i've had nightmares about dropping a P1 and having it snap in half so,.....and somehow they end up lighter than resin bio's even though i make hem a tad thicker,...
let me know how you'd want it painted unless you just want a raw one,...

Bone color would be really cool also if I might add as well try to sculpt in the bone lines as well just to make it that much more detailed just as a suggestion of course

i'm gonna take the lenses back out to see how it looks ,......and maybe give a hint at a jawbone with teeth ,....maybe
maybe this skull is where berserker got the bottom jaw from ???...maybe ??

No problem man when I see potential in something of what it coudl be more then the orginal idea I always try to give suggestions and that way like you said get more out of what you got. It saves you time and you are always able to go back to the first idea if the other ones don't work out

I def always need outside eyes,.....or another perspective on things,...
in tattooing too things get stale very easily and i'm ALL FOR opinions and advice on direction change,.......

might make 2 or 3 versions to see which ones look the best so,.....

i'll see what happens,....

Phil ..just moisten paper towels and loosely wrap it around your sculpt when you are done for the day ...then cover that in a plastic garbage bag

yea i been doing that to all 4 sculpts,....problem is the old terra cotta one gets neglectedand even though i keep it watered ,....it hrdly gets messed with so it started to mold after like a month ,......took it to work and sprayed it with madacide ,.....took care of it,.....but now i know to keep an eye on moldage,....sucks


EDIT---- only reason none are covered in the pics is because i wanted to take shots of them all at once,...hahah

did a few things,...took out lensesw and shaped eyes more,....added skull seams and a spine down the forehead,....
tried to soften some deeper gouges with ocean sponges,....here's an updated pic

i think it might need one or 2 more plate seams in the skull ,.....

don't really know where to put them though since there's a spine straight down the middle,....
what do you think about the berserker jawbone idea ??

If you want you can put the two seams running to the tip of the spine like a triangle because it is Predator related if you like just to make it more interesting and it is a foreign object not every seam should be the same on every creature. The jaw bone I like I'm sure most species are going to have a mouth I say continue on see where it leads you are doing great

good,....thats what i like to hear,.....i've been working on it more trying to get it further away from the " bonehunter "
think between the lenses that were in there and the mouth it resembled it slightly,....

plus making it be out of bone def doesn't help,....hahahah uratz is cool and he didn't mind,....but i still don't really want it to look like
the bonehunter,......bad names spread quick if people think you're a re-caster,....or a biter of styles,...

so it's good that it no longer looks like it,.....

k so i did some more work to the fossil,...

added more crown plate seams,....
and tried a full bottom jaw

then wehn i started to rip it back off i kinda liked just the front of the jaw on there,...
which is this,....

which looks better do you think ???

Well based on the angle of the picture taken I would say the bottom one, but may we see a side view as well?

Actually by looking at it in a better view now I would say that you have already have achieved that look with just the front bottom jaw.
