The rifle tips were amber, the pistol tips were clear. The pistol was based upon an old Black & Decker drill. The tractor was built upon a silent movie camera dolly and was made primarily of plywood. It was destroyed after filming.

During the post WWII era it was common for Hollywood to do this with movies they wanted to promote. For a while this was echoed in the Hollywood Christmas Parades, particularly when
Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan came out. As was typical for these parades the electronics where removed to prevent damage.
Robby also went into The Sands Hotel and gambled.
