Screen used SAR-3

Hi everyone,

I recently picked up a Romanian AK‑style rifle (chambered in 5.56×45mm) that I was told came out of a Hollywood armory and was used on productions.

A few details that stand out:

It has a permanently installed blank‑firing plug on the threaded muzzle (no brake or flash hider).

The left side of the receiver is hand‑engraved with the marking “16‑26.”

It has original wood furniture and a bakelite magazine (standard for 5.56 AKs).

I’ve attached photos below — one full view of the rifle and one close‑up of the “16‑26” marking.

Does anyone here recognize this inventory style or have experience with ISS, Stembridge, or other armories marking their rifles this way?

Any tips on which productions might have used Romanian 5.56 AKs with blank plugs?

I’ve also reached out to ISS and Long Mountain Outfitters for record checks, but figured someone here might immediately recognize the marking or even the rifle itself.

Thanks so much for any help or leads!
