Flying Aliens Dropship

Simple... yes absolutely but again bells and whistles add weight which is the problem, as it is she's at about 80% full throttle to lift off which means a lot of battery consumption, and a lot less power for the motors to do much else than lift.

Well if I can get one vacuum formed that is at or less dense than the foam per square inch that would be awesome, I've thought about lexan or vacuum formed plastic I just don't really know how or where to start on that. I figure at the very least if the pods could just lock in or out it would still be bad ass.

Only thing I would be worried about with deployed weapon wings is they have the aerodynamic characteristics of a barn door. Get a good side gust on the model and it will likely sail due to them. Plus, its going to take a bit of figuring to make sure the wings don't interfere with the lift fans in front. But, that is what test flights are for naturally.

I have my third prototype completed and painted with weapons pods deployed out and fixed. I have completed a test rig for the rear pylons to deploy and they work really well I just need to get smaller lighter servos to be able to fly with them. I will post some videos as soon as I get a chance, my wife had a baby boy born Sept 11th at 7:19pm, so the little guy has been the priority as of late. As for a kit, it might be a little bit as it looks like I'll be going away for a while for work.

Hey guys just wanted to show the last updates I had before I had to head out for the sandbox, I'll be here for the rest of the year most so I wont really be able to do any more work until I get home.

getting permission from Fox to make and sell these myself or get a hold of a company to work with me on making them.

it's pretty hard and expensive to get a legit license from any major corporation. you're probably better off getting a cheap chinese factory to knock them out without using any of Fox's trade-marks (eg 'Aliens' or 'Sulaco')

Yes. I don't think the term Drop Ship or the Style could really be strongly (c).
Make them.
Unless you bring the Brand into disrepute I cannot see a Company stopping you from promoting them.
This is the basis of COSplay.
Soon as someone makes an Empire out if it the Fans backlash is fatal.
