Your update to the story is good, I like it, as for ideas I'm not really sure, you could however get Nuori to form a rebellion so to speak where she forms an army of Past humans that have been switched and lead a direct or strategic attack against the science building.( assuming theirs enough survives to foam an army )

Perhaps she can rescue Xeno's(former humans) and they can help. Have her make a translator or a bad blood scientist can do it and stuff like that.
