HI guys.

I'm new to all this so go gentle on me.

I have seen lots of your projects over the years and you guys have inspired me to try my own.

I am attempting to build a Klingon style helmet, not an exact replica as I wanted to add my own style to it.

So I am planning to sculpt it in clay and then mold and cast it, I was just wondering if any one had any tips for getting nice sharp lines with the clay (chavant nsp medium) and how to get a nice smooth finish and good blend between features?
So I am generally looking for any advice on this process and any tips and tricks you can help out with. Below are some pics of my wip so far.

Thank you very much!

hopefully I can get some more work done on it tomorrow, need to make it a little more symmetrical and try and refine the details and m,ake it a little less "blockey".

Have a good day/evenin/night.

Re:My First ever build, Klingon style helmet, update!

Had a little bit of time to work on this today, so i'm just trying to place the details on the mask, then hopefully after a bit more work, i will be able to clean it all up and get it nice and smooth, if any one has any tips on smoothing oil based clay it would be appreciated.

p.s loving watching everyone's builds, keeps me inspired when things are not going exactly to plan in my own project :)
