first build mark VI for my 5 year old son (and myself)

Just finished cutting out the shins, thighs, and boots longest 30 min. of my life I love My CNC

............. i hate you that is so easy!!!! im stuck cutting 10mm high density foam with a freakin craft knife!!!! =C

still awesome work so far man!

Finally had some time to work on the build this weekend peped and painted the legs wired my sons LED's and mine. I wired in the micro switch from the flashlight I cut apart to turn on and off the arc reactor

Look what came back back from the dead. After melting the side of my helmet on the exhaust of my Harley I just wanted to pitch the old helmet and start a new one. Originally I built the helmet from foam then I used fiberglass resin to stiffen it up and bonds to smooth it out. What I learned is that if you heat this concoction of fun up with a heat gun it all comes off right down to the foam. So I 're bondoed the rough spots, tried to clean up the faceplate the best I could. Not as good as it once was but it will do for Halloween

is this a DIY machine? Cool stuff you have!!!:cool

The machine was maid by AXYZ International I run a small sign shop specializing in dimensional lettering, large scale formats, and 3D carving/engraving out of my barn at my home. I'm thinking of getting the drag knife attachment for it so it will cut crisper clean lines. Right now the small bits and the points of the shapes get torn off with the 1/8th cutter I use.

Kinda off topic but who would win I a fight, a giant acrylic spider or ironman???

I think I've done enough painting for one day!!!

Did homework on the hands and repulsers today. The CNC cut pcs. Worked great in hindsight I would have cut them out of thinner material but I just sanded them down. Should have the LED micro switch working in a day or two.

HA HA TAKE THAT BUT CRACK !!!*The Iron thong issue has been rectum I mean rectified. Thank you all for your help the thigh pattern page really helped and Dynofiend Awsom battle dammage build. I also like the sharpy trick if I have time I'll give er a go.

Worked until 4:00 am last night after a 8 hr day in the factory this build is going to kill me...almost there. The micro switch on the second glove worked much better than the flashlight switch. I filled in some of the gaps in the armor and also found a few more. Not sure if I fill the spaces in the back or not (what do you think?)
To date build time has been 28 days @ 2 - 3 hours a day (between running the CNC for my business and working a full time day job.)

So far so good I had to perform a few critical tests
1. Mobility ... check
2. Pee flap accessibility ... check
3. Ability to close pee flap ... check
4. Last but defiantly not least the Beer test ... check

Awesome build! Father of the year too! Lol man we do need a plus sized section. I'm almost like, "man I'm fat, I should just be war machine. Lol
