This is my first real shot at a cowl, I've only really sculpted smaller things before. I took inspiration from the new animated Batman suit and some from Greg Capullo's work, and uh, here's what I've got so far. If anyone has any critics or anything like that please feel free to let me know

Sweet! Love it. :)

Thanks! I do have one question though, I know the typical way of casting Batman cowls is in latex, but if it all possible I'd like to cast it out of resin. How bad of an idea is this, and if its an option how do I go about it?

I have cast Batman cowls out of resin (for display). Make a silicon mold with a mother mold of fiberglass, plaster, or some kind of resin. Smooth-On has tons of video's on it. There are also videos on YouTube. The sculpture looks great by the way... reminds of Batman from the recent animated movies like Bad Blood.

I made a few changes, I wasn't super in love with the original design. If I want to cast at least the head portion of resin, where's the best seam line? and how should I attach the two parts together? Thanks for all the help so far!

Thanks, I appreciate the help. And yeah I took a bit of inspiration from that suit, that and Greg Capullo
