FINISHED!! Lightsaber Cane (Stunt Lightsaber) Post#9

Recently I have been using a cane. I plan to be a Jedi this Halloween, so I decided I needed a lightsaber cane (like Peter Mayhew). If I don't need a cane by then it's a Dueling Lightsaber, instead of a cane.

I modeled the hilt with a one inch bore so I can install a one inch oak dowel rod for the cane. The dowel will either be covered in reflective tape or paint the blade color... I haven't decided yet. I did not model the activation knob or the other little greebles as those will be separate pieces. The hilt is modeled in the style of the Prequels as I'm doing a Jedi from that era. If you wanted to you could install a thick walled polycarbonate blade and a Luxeon LED which would act as a Saber and a cane. Those thick walled polycarbonate blades are super durable.

I wouldn't trust a poly blade for support they still have flex to them

He had more than one over the years, but yes Frank I believe you’re right.

13doctorwho , I think that you might want to round off that pommel a bit more, your palm will thank you.

Actually, I one inch SOLID acrylic rod would be really cheap and strong enough. I've had an acrylic cane in the past.

Finally finished!! It came out pretty well. The hilt is 3D printed plastic with a few greebles attached. The fluorescent green acrylic looks great in person. The pictures don't do it justice.
