Finished! 8 Foot Hulk Pics!

Re: 8 Foot Hulk!

Using stilts to extend the legs is cool. How do you extend the arms? Looking forward to more as the foot looks great.

Re: 8 Foot Hulk!

It'd be terribly difficult and expensive, but it'd be way cool if you could do the arms like this Moving the Slitheen - Dr Who Confidential - BBC sci-fi - YouTube

Actually neither difficult nor expensive, These extensions can be made out of materials like cardboard or foamboard, using craft twine and rubber bands in the mechanism to bend and contract the fingers. This is the same rig I've used several times, the dexterity is not super amazing but objects can still be grabbed/held to a degree. I'll see if I can dig up a few pics from one of the hands I built before, much easier to see the pics to understand the rigs than describe.

Suit looks great! I am a huge fan of drywall stilts. (y)thumbsup

Re: 8 Foot Hulk!

Nice! If I was ever ambitious enough for this, I'd definitely use this technique!

Re: 8 Foot Hulk!

yes theyll bend its hard to explain youll just have to keep coming back to the thread to see it figured out :p

Re: 8 Foot Hulk!

yeah i was planning to at the end of the build, the feet were the first thing i did so i had nothing to judge it off

Re: 8 Foot Hulk!

This is starting to looks awesome!! The left shin looks a little bigger than the right though, maybe a trick of the light or something?.... :)

Re: 8 Foot Hulk!

It looks amazing to actually see you in the thing man, seeing it finished would be amazing.
Any idea how you'll get the knees to work or do you think you're stuck in a straight position?

Re: 8 Foot Hulk!

As of right now, they will not bend. I am going to remake the feet alot bigger. Now the torso is beginning to be made.
