Fight Club Tyler Durden T-shirts?

I think he means "Filthy". Its an English word.

Dan, your loyalty to Soul is endearing I have to say. Do you own any of his products? Yes it might be rare, but it doesn't mean that people will automatically want it. And I have 2 kiss shirts and I wouldn't call them 'crap' or 'Garbage' and they're hand made in the UK and they're extremely well made. We're not talking about Nike here which is machine made with slave labour.

I own one of his Indy 500 shirts. And you know what, I misspoke about kiss clothing being crap and garbage. I didn't mean it in a quality way. I mean they're garbage and crap in regards to being screen accurate. They're not screen accurate at all and they're not good representations of vintage shirts

Arent the indy 500 stock shirts with a heat press print added along with the stitching? I didnt think they were cut and sew.

Okay. But not everyone cares about exact duplicate. Some people are happy with it being close to or inspired by. They don't want it to have every single nerdy detail replicated to the millimeter. And some of those people frequent this thread and don't need you bad mouthing a product that you have never personally seen. Cos they might want to buy it. If I had listened to most of the people on this forum I wouldn't have half the wonderful clothes I have now.

Exactly, not everyone cares about exact replicas, that's why if you do make an exact replica it's gonna cost a lot. Whether you want close to or inspired by, is up to you. What we're talking about here is the shirts worn in the film. Special clothing articles which are only unique to the era they were made in. An era which still cared about making really cool things of high quality. If someone wants to dress like Tyler durden, all power to you, but there are still people who really really like the specific wardrobe used in the film, not just the Tyler durden image.

I don't know what you mean AJ

I've always been into fashion that is cut and tailored really well, and what some of you guys don't understand that from what I've seen of those custom shirts soul makes like the dancing girls shirt, the sports tank and the black zip shirt is that soul tailors them as close to the film shirts as possible. He cuts them small but they have room around you shoulders and chest so even if you want them small and tight they're still gonna fit comfortably. I'm sure it will be the same when he makes the motocross shirt and if or when he makes the leaf shirt, star shirt and the others. Max cady is the closest thing you'll get for the price they charge and for me the shirts are unwearable. The v neck star shirt sleeves are too tight and high up and the v neck is too high up towards the neck. The sock it to me shirt for me, is literally unwearable. The neck is too high and the sleeves are way too tight. Even an extra large is too tight if you have a more muscular build. I'd rather just buy a true vintage short sleeve sweatshirt

The 42 dollar maple leaf shirt by Kiss looks suspiciously like the one AJ wanted to sell me for 300 bucks...

thats because it is

I try to custom tailor pieces like the dancing girls, sports tank and in the very near future, the motocross shirt to each buyer's needs. Whether that means cropping it shorter, making it longer or going off exact dimensions given, etc. I'll be the first to admit, I don't always get it right. This type of work is not an exact science. Probably why some of the MaxCady stuff doesn't quite seem to fit right either. And I'm certainly no pro when it comes to sewing. This whole venture is completely new to me and I had never really sewn much of anything before I first attempted some of these Fight Club shirts. Though I've recently employed some help from a couple really talented people and I'm looking forward to what we can accomplish together! The thing is, I just wanted some of these pieces really bad. And in some cases, there was no alternative but to try and fabricate them myself. I'm coming from a screen accurate replica standpoint. True, I'm a business man but I'm a fan first! I want to get the colors, stitching and exact placement of the patterns as close as possible. It's all about these very minute details for me, probably things most people don't even notice or know to look for. I'm obsessed with it, the way some of you are about the jacket with each stitch and seam.

Been a while since I posted, but just wanted to pop in and say that Soul's stuff is solid. Not only that, but he's a good, honest dude. If you want the real deal (or as close to it as possible) this is pretty much it for a lot of the clothes. The fact that he is making this stuff for us with such limited runs is a testament to how much work he's been putting in to make this stuff a reality.

It's no joke. We're really lucky to have so many solid people as a part of this community. It's really special, so don't forget that.

Here was a cool ring find of mine. Soul had made me a nice one but sadly the too snapped off last Halloween when I was cosplaying Tyler Durden. Its a pretty high quality flicker eye ring as you can tell.

Yeah when my dancing girls shirt was too small he made me a new one and exchanged my first one. I also do highly recommend the full briefcase of soap... it was 500 dollars if I recall but to be honest it has been one of the best Fight Club related purchases to date. The soap smells awesome, the reaction of people at cons when cosplaying is super positive, and it is just plain cool.

I still have yet to see a legit replica of the jacket. None of the JALs I've seen have that same shiny and wrinkled look from the movie. Also a dark blood red is how it should look, not like AJ's Carmin Sandiago jacket.

Depends, the actual screen jacket is a fairly bright red. If you are trying to match the lens filter that is a different story as the film was shot with a dark filter. Look at brad pitt's blonde hair appearing very dark.

Here is an outdoor shot of the jacket.

And then look at mine for comparison.
