Fight Club Tyler Durden T-shirts?

Hey Aj, last question I'm going ask regarding the jacket. I've been dying to know if the Screen used jacket had shoulder pads at one time or another. Shoulder pads or some kind of padding. In the side picks you posted, the jacket shoulders appear padded. Has logan given any info on this? Also dying to know the question of lining. I know lining plays a big part on the weight and hang of any jacket, leather or not
 
Hey I don't know if you guys knew this, but Kaplan was also the CD for Seven and Logan did PItt's leather jacket in that film too.

Not sure on the shoulder pads. I never asked JAL. It might be lambskin vs calfskin difference. Lambskin forms to the body more.
 
In the film there are several scenes where it really looks like the jacket has shoulder pads. There is an obvious raise at the shoulders.

What shirt was he wearing? What scenes? You could ask JAL. He did state Pitt had no unusual measurements but lambskin is stretchy.

Btw guys should have the jacket wed. Will show what has been created. Now is your chance to get a screen replica.
 
Just asked Jonathan this and he seems to think that there are shoulder pads in the jacket. He did say he couldn't remember every single detail, but tries to remember as many details as possible. I made the passing comment that it was just a job to him and its our obsession and he asked me to post this message to you in the forum

Actor and actresses are inspired to wear the same style they have seen on other Actors in films...
So your obsession was mine first and I've had this craving to do great work since I was 12 y/o!!!
So as long as i'm doing it, you can be proud that the guy who supplies your guilty pleasure is the biggest fan of his fans.
That's why I make them one at a time. I love it.

Jonathan is the man. He just told me a few mins ago that yes, the jacket has shoulder pads. He said the calfskin jackets don't need them, but lambskin will lose it's shape otherwise. So yes, there are definitely shoulder pads.
 
So Aj, I really think you should look into pads. I'm pretty sure they are in the jacket and it will give the jacket a bit more lift at the top so it can flow more around the body. Shoulder pads in lambskin:thumbsup
 
I believe he will already be putting in the shoulder pads. It sounds like the lambskin needs them. So I don't think you need to ask for it specifically. Here's what he said:

Yes it does. I don't put them in the calf skin jacket it don't need them.
Lamb skin will loose the shape if you don't. it is not a modern fit, it is a retro cut.

So I told him "sounds like you are already putting them in, but just to be clear, let's add shoulder pads." And he responded "yes, of course, you are right." So they will just come with pads I'm sure.

edit: By the way, put my order in today.

Sweet deal. Just like the seven jacket. Now you freaking guys are going to see what a real fc replica looks like. I told you guys before and DOOR also mentioned it. There was always something off about his new fc jackets that just weren't identical to the film jacket. The leather was different and the jacket had shoulder pads. I told you guys that when I saw AJ's jacket that it was awesome but very tough and thick, typical cow hide. Lamb is lighter, softer and flows more. Just like the film jacket was. I also thought a few times that the screen jacket could've been calf skin because of the shine and wrinkles but I guess the glazed shine look can be placed on lambskin too. I hope he starts making the new fc jackets stock in the soft lambskin with pads. Even if he can't get the exact color forever.
 
Oh also. I don't want to toot my own horn here, but I told you guys. Logan is a master craftsman who has been working consecutively for 15yrs since the film came out. He isn't going to remember every single detail about the jacket until he really had to dig in and find them. Kudos to all you guys for the research and big kudos to logan for helping us satisfy are crazy obsessions. :cool
 
I just want to chime in and say yes not only is JAL master at his craft he is very friendly and personable. When I first met him three years ago for measurements we still talked for like an hour after. He wasn't in a rush for me to leave and just wanted to chat to his customer like they were a long time friend you hadn't seen in while. This guy works on movies, concerts, and many other projects. I may not have a million dollar movie budget but Jonathan always treats you like an equal and friend.

I haven't seen that kind of service in a Gucci store where you could pay 5000 dollars for a jacket. What he offers at his prices is a steal. I know not everyone can afford a 900 dollar+ jacket but it is worth it. The quality and service are amazing. I don't think you could ever could be disapponted becauss of the pride he has in his work if you felt it wasn't up to the standard he would fix it.

Just the fact he took the time to work with me and the rest of us on this project says a lot.

Interesting. I will post pics Wed. I wonder if I need to alter my measurements for the pads then. Will ask. Looking forward to that.
