Fifth Elements Costumes....

I would definitely appreciate whatever Korben reference shots you have. I actually managed to find a really great deal on the Besson book a couple months ago and grabbed it without hesitation. Unfortunately while it does contain an excellent page on Leeloo's costume, there's really not much in it for Korben's. A couple wide shots where you can kind of see the pants, but no real detail. But whatever you've got is completely appreciated.

well they are not the exactly same model but but pics !

They have 4 buckles (need to modify for scratches, and there is no "BUFFALO" brand




But it's far from what i've hoped with the newrock boots

Hm. They do have more accurate soles than the New Rocks, but that's where I'd draw the line. They have buckles instead of velcro, so the same amount of work is needed there. They also have a different pattern at the ankle, no room for the logo. Cool find, and they look like high quality boots, but they can't be modified as well as the New Rocks. What brand are they if not Buffalo? The screen accurate pair were an actual pair of boots they used to make, I was told by a rep for the company that they stopped making them, but they used to be available.

Well the only modification i'm going to do, is to replace the buckles by scratches, at this point it's enough for me, maybe i'll stamp the buffalo brand too.

Plus, yes they are Buffalo branded, maybe just a close model of the screen-used, when i said "there is no "BUFFALO" brand" i wanted to say that there isn't the buffalo stamp on the shoe not they aren't from buffalo

hehe back in 2012 i actually did a Fifth Element cosplay for a convention here in Australia. Overall the costume took about 3 hours work and was a bit of a hit!

That's awesome. It's always cool to see Fifth Element costumes, there aren't enough of them at cons.

Well the ankle is the good at least, it's 7 stripes instead of 5 (2 for the Logo) but I can manage to cut the sewings, fill the holes with some leather paste polymer, and stamp the logo ! I'll show you pictures when i'll decide to modify these boots

Very cool! I am putting together the Police costume... that helmet is tricky! I've put it on the back burner due to complexity, but it's definitely on my to do list. Already have the jumpsuit, the gloves and boots. Lots of sewing involved in making the clothing. I decided to buy paracord of varying thickness and apply a stretchy fabric over the top to simulate the look of the ribs. Lots of EVA foam, painting..

Leeloo is the first costume that got me serious about... well, costumes! It's a really fun outfit because people recognize it and love yelling "MULTIPASS!"

I patterned my own Leeloo suspenders, made a plexiglass mold, and did a big run of Dragonskin 10 sets for Halloween 2014.
