The plates look good and maybe it's the shadow in the pic but shouldn't the plates be a bit bigger? Looks like there is a good size gap around the edge.

That's the downside of TV show props. They get more use than a movie prop, and they'll need tweaking for whatever reason.

Im just sticking to the original non rivet version...Othe]erwise Id be driving myself nuts.

thats not a gap, youre seeing the perspective of the inside sides of the case, the plate is almost all the way inside on the bottom.

Good stuff, i knew it was me. Please count me in for one if there is any space left.

On another front, i did find the unit the push buttons came from but the pawn shop wanted $100 for it. I found a cheaper one and once i get it i will share the unit info. It will still cost me at least $25 and there are only 2 black buttons on it.

This is what the switches came from i am almost sure. The B&K 400 Cathode Ray tester. I saw one up close at the antique store the other day and it has the concave top and the button is wider than it's shaft. Hard to see in this pic. It has 2 of the black buttons and 1 red. There is also a Model 440 that has 1 black and 1 red button. Also I think the red light from this is what was used on the Farmsworth stand. the antique shop wanted $100 but i got 1 on the bay for $25 shipped. I'm going to change out the switches and sell it off as modified. Maybe i can get a little $ back. I will post good pics when i get it so you guys can make your own determination.
