Yor right i'm not going to argue with someone about spending $25 on the correct unit for 2 switches when you post a link to $8 swiches with $10 shipping. Still cheaper to buy the whole box.
Hey Kylash, what is the size of the viewscreen hole on your plates? I'm going to order some Plastruct elliptical domes and dish domes to see how they look. On your templates look like it's 2 7/8" but 3" has been mentioned.

BTW, I think I may have found another source for the communicator lens.
Yesterday I ran into Walgreens to pick something up and noticed that behind the register they were selling those gel headphones. They come in a case that has a clear lens similar to the lens on the Farnsworth.
I wasn't able to take a measurement but they looked about right.

Have you looked at the Plastruct Elliptical or dish domes? Might be able to glue it down to some flat stock to create the lip.

I think those ribbed lines are on the white plastic base that the headphones are laying on.
Anyhow, not sure if these will match, but just a thought.

Well, I actually already have the lens Im using (Came from a cheap clock I found...Looks to be pretty damn close match.), and I will be gluing it down on a flat piece of styrene for the lip.
I just posted this up for others, in case they're looking for a lens.
As for the plastruct domes, I did a quick search, but haven't been able to find a decent photo of them.

Got the box and the switches look right on. I did notice one thing that i didn't think about . Most switches of this size are going to be too deep for the box. This switch is pretty shallow and it makes me even more confident they are the right ones.
What do you guys think?

It sure is an oddball. I have been around electronics my whole life and don't ever remember seeing a switch built like it. I'm sure someone out there has some for sale but 2 of them with shipping will probably cost as much as buying one of these CRT rejuvinators. It was $25 shipped so i figure $10 a switch and 5 for the light. Hell i've spent more on dumber things.

I think it's a horn switch. They tend to be shallower. Do a web search and you'll see.
