Interesting Brass Etching Procedure.
Looks like a negative of Kylash's drawing would do the trick nicely. I imagine two negatives, as I think the number dial will require two phases.

I also went by JoAnns to see if they had any clock face lenses but the store where I live is to small to carry something like that.:unsure
It looks more like the dome from a surface mounted dome light. I have something very close on my boat. I've also seen them in RVs
those jacks on the side appear to be about 3/10 of an inch, just measuring here, or about 7-8mm, around the outside.
Oh, and got this from a hires publicity shot. That little stand will be the next project after we finish this
Looked at this at Michaels Arts and Crafts today:
It is also only 2 3/4" across the face of the clear glass and the outside edge is too sharp.
Where are all the 3" clock faces!!!!!!:cry
couldnt get to the laser yesterday, but hopefully today.
Ive not seen brass platesd in the thickness we need, so not sure about the etching. Honestly, this mirrored styrene is going to look exactly the same after weathering.
I too couldnt find any good clock faces that would work, checked out alarm clocks too.
Also, got the left knob in the mail yesterday, is there supposed to be a little screw on one side to tighten the inside? Never noticed it in any caps.

Just got an email from the place I ordered the red dome cap from.
They are out of stock but have some on order.
Must be a popular item.:lol

anyone have any plans for the box weathering? Im thinking of going over the whole thing with a transparent brown and then doing the sponging of a darker brown, then sealing the whole thing 9having masked off the gold lip of course)
