If we just post back and forth the sooner that you will get to 20 so start posting.

Costume is incredible! What is production time like? Thanks.

Paul

The thing I love about this is how proportionate the armor is. That had to be difficult to achieve. Awesome job.

Man, those came out swell! I jusrt wish I was close enough or had the cash to go. Ya'll could have used a Brotherhood outcast to march with! I have seen quite a few pics of ya'lls suits on a fallout costuming site I am on called wastelandoutpost.com. Very well put together armor.:thumbsup

To answer a few questions in this thread:

Yes it is Felicia Day and she Voiced the BoS Scribe Veronica in New Vegas!
I'm going to get her and Will Wheaton Helmets, as they both loved the armor(In fact Will stopped me in the hallway and ASKED to sign my helmet) and both did voices in FO:NV Wll is the RoboBrains.

I won't be selling these on the RPF quite yet as per my new user status (have to reach 20 posts).

That's awesome! I couldn't tell because she looks different at that angle.

I haven't posted any of our suits on the wastelanders forum yet...so perhaps other at DCon have.

As for the helmet, probably selling the helm kit alone, Just don't know the cost. Sorry.

But If anyone is interested email me and i'll put you on my list if I can sell these officially soon.

Cheers

Mark

Yup, it was one of our fellow members that was there dressed as a ranger from New Vegas. She took quite a few pictures of ya'lls suits and found some others posted elsewhere on the net. Still can't tell you enough how well your suits came out!:thumbsup

Wow Nice Job! Im wondering how do you get weathering like that? The Parts in question are in the Red Circles, For the larger circle do you sand on all the edges and corners? For the smaller circle is it different layers of paint and sanding or is it more simple that that?

The process for paint which willbe in the instructions:

Start with multiple layers of a Bright Silver Krylon Paint (@ least 2 coatsmin)
Apply 1 coat of Primer Gray

'Sand' Paint w/ Coarse "Brotherhood of STEEL" WOOL :love so as to reveal silver underlayer.

DO NOT SAND HEAVILY!! YOU WANT MOSTLY GRAY LEFT!

Then Take FINE Steel Wool to polish silver spots.

Next coat w/ Clear Coat SATIN allow to dry.

Apply Black Wash, Simple Acrylic Walmart Paints will work.

I use the coat method and wipe off excess..(White Wash cloths should be black when done)

The "imperfection" in the smaller circle has been left in the masters so they show through the ABS. It gives a great Dented look!

Smart Bin (50x25x18") Found at local walmart should fit all armor minus helmet (that should be on display)

Probably weighs in around 20 lbs..my wife wore it at DragonCon and did not complain once. Other then for water...
