Hello, I'm Darren from Buffalo, NY and this is my first time build. I decided to go with the Fallout T-45d Power Armor. I started cutting out the pepakura pieces in paper and tracing them onto foam the coating the foam in Elmers Glue then plastic then primer then paint then clear coat. I did not create the pepakura files I believe they were created by RoadWarrior. I also did not make the pipboy or hand plate, I ordered them. Hopefully if everything goes well I can wear it to Dragoncon this year 2013. I also want to say thank you to Stealth for making great tutorials on youtube and it helped me a lot.

Not bad for a first build. If you have the time/resources before Dragon Con, I would remake the arm pieces and try to make them a little bit larger.

Otherwise you are off to a great start.

Sorry, I can't remember where I found the pep files but if you google search fallout t-45 power armor pepakura you should be able to find it. I made some adjustments to the arms and I think they look better:

The scale is definitely off. Make sure that when you change the scale factor of one item, you copy the scale and use that exact number for the rest of the files as well.

Remember that the shoulder pieces are going to be damn huge - enough so that they'll reach the end of the bicep pieces if you were to lift your arms. Don't worry all to much about your armor seeming 'too big' when you make it to proper scale, since usually what you'll do is pad it with foam. It's extremely bulky armor, so no bit of it will end up being slim.

It's otherwise a rather good first build~
Just gotta work out them scaling errors and it'll be great. ;)

Don't forget to always reference back to the game models!

Awesome job!

Can i ask a question, where did you get the tubbing from for your helmet? I'm working on a costume right now and i've been trying to find it.

Yeah, I see exactly what you mean about the scaling, thanks for the tips! I bought the tubes from the dollar tree, it was some kind of plastic horn that was in the toy section, I just spray painted it a different color.
