Even if everything on that list was part of the deal, you'd still have individuals that would come up with a bogus reason not to get it.

"Oh, it's not actual size? Deal breaker."
"What, it doesn't fly? Deal breaker."
"Are you telling me there's no tiny living crew in there? Deal breaker."
Yep. Th complainers, nit pickers and nay sayers are all over the net ! Not going to be put off. I bought the TOS ship and will get one of these. Hopefully will still be around in another year plus. Old age is here !

Old age??? Yikes. I'm older but don't want to consider myself old age old yet...lol

Those are usually the “tell me you can’t afford this without telling me you can’t” people. If they had the money, they would totally buy it. They just broke, lol. They try to justify not getting one (to others as well as themselves), by complaining.

I'll speak only as a consultant, Tomy will have to give final answers as they make all the decisions.

Most of these issues on Jim's list are under development but just didn't make it into the Prototype shown so far.

Paint details are easy to change and more accurate TMP colors have already been specified.

The landing deck in TMP is not seen to have animated light patterns. This is a feature of the landing bay seen in Star Trek V.

Whether the cargo handling area deeper into the ship is represented or not depends on how the costs are trending. Tomy is aware of the desirability of having the complete hangar/cargo deck visible.

There is plenty of self-illumination on the model, plus the base fires spotlights up at the model to help give it the iconic look. Only the spotlights that are physically impossible are not represented (the Tomy does not use the Raytheon internal-illumination technique).

"Secondary hull support", I don't know what this refers to. If you mean the tilt down issue I am told that will be fixed.

Things like the final accuracy of the aztec pattern will depend on the cost of paint applications and what the product can afford.

While "no USB cable" might at first seem like a disappointment, most people have spare USB-C cables they aren't using. Also the USB power connection means you can power the model from a wall outlet or from a USB power bank, making the display possibilities nearly endless.

Sorry, if it doesn't come with a full set of dental mirrors color me disappointed.

All I ask for this time is that they're more open and honest about any issues like screw plugs etc. It was a shitshow last time where they stated multiple times that they would be seamless, and it was only as leaks of the finished production model appeared at the 11th hour that we realised this was not true. I'm okay with plugs (for the love of God, put them on the right-hand-side of the ship, NOT the left) if that's the price we have to pay, but please be up front about it.

It sounds as though they're aware of this ship's popularity and are going to refuse to lower the crowdfunding targets this time, so I pray that they aren't going for stupid figures like 20,000 copies, that will be devastating.

Exactly. This is all I ask for as well. I certainly don't expect a professionally built quality model for mass-produced prices. Given the price point, plug-holes and seam-lines are expected possible concessions. Just let me know this is the case at the start. Last go around, they gave us the impression they wouldn't have to make any concessions. I don't blame buyers for feeling like they were being short-changed.

I'm not going to say there are no deal breakers for me until I see what the final production model looks like. But that doesn't mean I don't think it'll be a quality model for the price even with every possible concession made. At that point, it's up to each individual to decide if it's worth it for them.

Yeah, but let's be honest. We are a bitchy bunch. :p(y)

I could have the original guys build me a life size Millennium Falcon and I would find stuff wrong with it.

Millenium Falcom ! Blasphemy ! ;)

(y) Oh, Come on. You know after the initial excitement, we all would find things wrong with it. Walking through the halls, sitting in the cockpit, "Oh darn, that one button seems 1/16th on an inch off from where it was in the film."

Yes, the Sequels sucked, 95% of Disney SW sucks, but if you really loved and knew Star Wars and worked super hard to make a film for true Star Wars fans, you know we would still complain.

LONG LIVE THE REFIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GOD BLESS TOMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please change the base.

Just giving you a hard time. Seen all of the SW Films from the first (dating myself) . Liked all of them. Never followed any of the series on Greedy Mouse + however.

There will be a flat fee of $50 per replica for shipping for all backers. Shipping will be charged at the same time as your pledge, so there will only be a single payment.
We'll add this info to our upcoming FAQ and campaign FAQ as well.
For anyone outside the US/Canada wanting to estimate the cost for parcel forwarding, we're working to get package dimension estimates soon and will share them as soon as possible.

Was this on the Facebook page?? One guy on YouTube said he called and was told it's free shipping and tax. I told him I didn't think it was.

I was surprised we WEREN'T charged for shipping with the TOS model. It's fine though. It means the $699 is going fully toward the model...hopefully.

That was a reply to another poster from her. I don't know what conflicting reports you are mentioning.

On YouTube videos. I said I mentioned it to a few people what I read here. They said I was wrong. One guy said he called and its free shipping.
