EFX-Will they do a new Episode 7 M.F. Studio Scale, Helmets, etc GINO ??????

Re: EFX-Will they do a new Episode 7 M.F. Studio Scale, Helmets, etc????

Why not??

Because EFX's customer service and track records means there's no way they would be able to handle it. With a new movie and the popularity they way they do things would destroy that company super fast. It's only us foolish fanboys keeping them afloat now.

We're much too patient and forgiving.

The general populace... not so much.

They make a great product IF and WHEN it actually sees the light of day, but 4-5 years on one thing ain't gonna fly with Disney owned LFL on new and hot currently in demand items.

All licensed replica companies are doomed to fail. Why? They won't take my advice. Make third tier replicas for the non-hardcore collector that are visually accurate, but toy quality (if it looks exactly the same sitting on a shelf, who cares what it's made of?). Instead they make overpriced widgets in limited numbers resulting in very narrow profit margins. The only real profit is on the secondary market. The MR Collector Series and eFx stunt sabers were a step in the right direction, but too little and probably too late in MR's case.

I would say that most of the cost comes from prepping and finishing something, not the cost of the materials to make it. So making something out of very low cost materials but finished to a high standard would save virtually no money. On top of that you'll have something that looks expensive but feels really cheap. It will probably still be priced relatively high, and what company wants to take a risk like that? I can see why none of them have taken your advice.

^^^^^^^^This.

Awesome to see the costume license go to such a deserving and passionate company. As for the high end prop license, I'm surprised there isn't any news on this, given that the movie is less than a year away and the massive undertaking involved. Maybe some lucky company has already retained the license, is busy scanning screen used ep 7 props now that filming has wrapped, and it simply hasn't been made public yet? That's my hope anyways. lol Not a lot of players in the playground, I wonder who has the capital and experience to win over Disney licensing?
