Wondering about EFX episode 7 plans. Any hope of a Studio Scale Falcon, helmets, etc.

Anyone have any info?

Also wondering if any reveal sabers are still coming or if those plans are no longer????

I doubt you will ever see a Falcon again.

I'm pretty sure they will be selling THE FORCE AWAKENS helmets and props.

I feel like I'm sending the Bat Signal to Gino.

Did it not turn out well for Master Replicas financially???

Well - they're not around anymore and the market for one is very small for what it cost to sell one and be profitable.

My guess they would need to sell one for $2500 - $3000.

All licensed replica companies are doomed to fail. Why? They won't take my advice. Make third tier replicas for the non-hardcore collector that are visually accurate, but toy quality (if it looks exactly the same sitting on a shelf, who cares what it's made of?). Instead they make overpriced widgets in limited numbers resulting in very narrow profit margins. The only real profit is on the secondary market. The MR Collector Series and eFx stunt sabers were a step in the right direction, but too little and probably too late in MR's case.

The issue with this is the licensing. EFX, like MR, had the license for "high end replicas." The "toy" licenses fell with other companies. I feel that MR doing the "econo" helmets was possibly pushing the limits for the license in all actuality, plus why they were also pretty limited in production.

Still hoping Gino will chime in?????

Why not??

I would think Disney would produce these themselves with their own manufactures, similarly to the new toys they are making to sell at Disney theme parks and Disney stores are seperate from Hasbro.

As far as I can tell, Anovos is looking to maximize their LFL license and make costumes for TFA. This would include helmets....

I got the impression that nothing Ep7-wise has been set yet when I talked to Bryan last. Disney now owning LFL adds another layer of approvals, licensing, lawyers, execs, etc. My gut tells me that we will have to wait till at least Celebration in May to find out who's doing what. It also depends on whether Disney/LFL will allow licensees access to production files ref in time to tool up for the release or will make them wait till after the movie is out.

I'm going by a number of things Anovos has mentioned recently about Ep VII.

Here's just one example from http://www.therpf.com/f79/anovos-picks-up-high-end-star-wars-costuming-license-212164/index9.html
Episode VII Trooper? Its ok just to post a full frontal shot of a prototype....go ahead, just use my name.

"Oh that little thing. Yes we are hard at work with the new suit and have been for some time. Expect some updates soon ."

It sounds to me that maybe, just maybe, some people are seeing some things and are prepping things for production as we speak.

For the record, Anovos currently has the license to produce Episode VII high end costumes in the same fashion as we currently making/selling our costumes....and boy do we plan on making some awesome stuff.

Great news! Sorry if it's been covered elsewhere but will you be making these available outside the US at some point?
