Since I like both the Stunt and the Hero Helmets, they are equal to me. I also like the fact they are being offered by a licensee.
But, If 1 of the other 6 original heros were to surface and be offered like SiMan's, I would be all over it.

This is a very exciting thing to see. I love the eFX is catering to both the lower end / less picky markets and the more seasoned collectors.

The more I am seeing the better and better this looks. Great pics from eFX in the links. Absolutely loving the pics with the mic tip taken apart and the screen helmet in pieces.

New stormtrooper helmets are like buses it seems. You wait a while then two turn up at once.

I got to the helmet at Comic-Con as well. Totally surprised and excited when Gino brought the mold up to the podium during the panel on Friday. After watching plenty of statues and figures get shown off (cool in their own right), it was great to see a real prop-lovers item shown.
There is a good posibility some thing like this happening

It looks like they used Humbrol #126 for the grey, #85 for the black and #221 for the tube stripes.

Actually we took the original helmet to a specialty paint store and it took us about 2 hours to custom mix and match the grey, black, and blue not only in shade, but gloss level as well as all three were different.
This is the first time we've ever seen truly accurate paint on a trooper replica.

Here is a comparison of the original screen used helmet and our first prototype.
As noted earlier, the plastic used for this prototype is not the final plastic.
As far as the color of the plastic, upon inspection of the original in places that were hidden from light/exposure, we determined that the plastic was originally pure white as opposed to the slightly warm/yellowed white that we are used to seeing in originals as they look today.
The color of the plastic will be matched to the original as it was on the day it was formed vs how it looks now.
