eFX Luke ROTJ Lightsaber Reveal Preorder Finally Coming Up

OK! Larry inspected the lightsabers yesterday and we got confirmation last night that the Lightsabers will be shipped this coming week from Hong Kong. It there are no delays in the shipping time and,or in US customs, we should be able to start shipping them to customers the week of December 19! If you purchased the lightsaber through a retailer, it will probably be the week after since we will ship the lightsabers to the retailers the same time we ship to our direct customers. International customers who purchased the lightsaber in their country will depend on how long the shipment takes to arrive at their retailers through the international distributors.

I'm glad that they're finally coming but what a hit to the wallet to have not one but two of their items deliver (and require payment) during the holidays.
 
There's a thread over at Rebelscum that has quite a few pics because at least 4 sabers were delivered to customers already. They were brought back from from China personally by Bryan after his last inspection.

I was just reading some of the remarks over there and I can't believe one or two of them who are complaining about the fact that 4 people got sabers early and they were not one of them and think it is some sort plot on Bryan's part to give them to friends of his.

I just got one of Rylo's Reveal Sabers and from what I have seen of eFX's so far, I think I will be just as happy with it.
 
An other update
Just got notification that the container with the Reveal lightsabers will arrive in Los Angeles this Sunday. There about 66% of the lightsabers in this container and the balance will arrive in Los Angeles the following Sunday. So, we will be sending out the credit card authorization/Lay-away agreements out in the next couple days so that we can see how many people will be choosing to pay the balance with our lay-away plan, so that we can allocate the first shipment to as many customers as we can that want to pay in full. That credit card authorization form has to be the most unsecure way of getting peoples info i have ever seen. Very bad form to email or fax your credit card info WITH the CCV. Do they do this with every order now? They didn't with the tricorders.
 
I agree with Zombie Killer. At this point I don't know which would be a less risky way to send this information. Mailing it out is not an option just in case the letter gets lost.
 
I will be calling them to discuss this later today. They already have my information on file, it says so in my account profile.

Until today, I have been one of eFX's biggest supporter's here on the RPF and usually will stick up for them when other members are complaining about them.

But,

This is a bunch of crap and I have both emailed and called them and told them so and this is going to be my last order with eFX if they keep this garbage up.

When I purchased the Tricorder, I just needed to go on the website and tell them how I wanted to make the final payment/payments. They have all of our info on file from when we made the pre-order and all they need to do is to ask us to let them know if we want to pay all at once or use the lay-a-way.

I don't have access to a scanner or a fax machine, so the only way I can get this back to them is to mail it and by then, all of the first batch will probably be spoken for. If that is the case and I miss the first batch, I'm cancelling my order and telling them what to do with the saber.

It's a good thing a purchased one of Rylo's Reveal Sabers. I wasn't because I figured I was getting eFX's and didn't need 2 of them, but now it seems I might only have the one after all.

According to Bryan, if the billing and shipping information and credit card information is correct (what is saved on eFX's website), all they need is the CCV on the back of the credit card on the agreement. You do not have to put the credit card number or expiration date on the agreement.

We apologize for the inconvenience of the credit card authorization/lay-away agreement, but that is the only way we can do it.

We do not save credit card information on our website. That is why you only see the last 4 digits in your profile. And the credit card gateway only saves the account number and the expiration date and NOT the CCV. This is for your protection, since you need the CCV to process the order.

We have to process the orders manually since in our shopping cart, we must make the item "live" for the transaction. Unfortunately, this will allow anyone, including those who do not have a pre-order to place an order for the helmet. Also, they have not paid the deposit. This means that we would have to go through every order to see if they have a confirmed pre-order and then cancel and refund if they do not.

We tried a promotion code in the past, but some people actually passed the code around.

So, the only way to do this is by the agreement. Also, if you read the instructions in the email, if you want to use the card on file, all we need is the CCV, you do not have to put the credit card account or expiration date on the agreement.

a quick tip for those who dont have a scanner or fax machine.
just take a pic of the form an nicely crop it. thats what i did.

also just wondering if any one got a conformation that they send the form in?
 
The lightsabers have arrived in our warehouse, so we will be processing the orders for those who chose to pay the balance in full tonight. The lightsabers will be shipping tomorrow. Anyone who ordered directly from us and have not yet returned your agreement, any agreement received today by 6PM PST and you choose to pay in full, your order will be processed tonight and shipped tomorrow.

this would have made an great xmas gift. i guess it will be a new years eve gift.

did you send out conformation emails to those who paid in full? im just wondering, to know if i sent mine correctly.
