So while I am aboard and live somewhat local to my acrylic contact I have been focusing on preservation and presentation of my hobby. I asked him to recess the EFX stand into the case for a float look. I have attached an angle shot so you can see what I am talking about. I plan on doing this for my wedge helmet and Luke ANH helmet as well. What do you think ? Sharing as everyone Is always looking for different ideas. The base is simple MDF. IMHO it adds to the presentation. GC

That looks really nice. I know it was impractical of both MR and EFX to supply covers with their helmets but I always hated that you could not really display them unless you had them in a cabinet. I ended up going with a barrister bookcase that has glass doors on each shelf that keeps everything protected.

Thanks, I completely agree however, at least OFFER the option of a cover as most of us would buy them in a snap right? At this point I guess it just enough to simply GET your preorders right ? Which is an incredible rub with Anovos and EFX at the moment. LOL

CODE 3 got that right and you at least had the option to protect your investment.

I am currently getting one made for my EFX Tie fighter as well which has a enormous base but at leas they lipped it so a cover would fit on it nicely. They made that effort and didn't follow through or maybe that was an option back in the day. I am not sure.

That was one of the things I liked about MR, other than the helmets and the Falcon, I believe every replica came with a stand and a case. Even the Stormtrooper Blaster came with a cover and they was enormous. I liked when EFX offered the Star Trek First Contact Tricorder and you could buy the cover if you wanted too but that was the only time they offered that. I had to have a cover made for the EFX Luke Reveal Saber that fit over the stand they supplied.

Yep and they lipped the base for that as well. I bought my EFX Luke Revel secondary market and the previous owner had already had a cover made for it. It looks right... With a cover IMHO and that's why I snapped that up. MR did it right back in the day I hope my HAL 9000 preorder from now Master Replicas Group makes it. Not sure where they are going with the Dinosaurs, space craters etc.

The stormtrooper cover is big but the Bobba Fett rifle I think is at least the longest

When the Luke Reveal was released another member here had an acrylic design company near where he lived in Arizona make a cover for it based on the MR covers and he gave out the info so the rest of us could order from them if we wanted too and they did a wonderful job of it.

I had forgotten about the Bobba Fett rifle and I'm not sure if the AT-AT's came with a cover but if they did that would have been really big too.

To say they really fill a room would be a understatement. The Falcon, The AT AT and the covers and bases ARE Huge
