Yeah, not the email I was hoping for though... card declined. It turns out that my wife had spent some money on the debit card without me knowing. All good now though, I dumped a few hundred $$$ in there, just in case the OZ dollar goes south in the next few hours. So I assume that it's not far from shipping... I can't wait.

Yeah, I haven't felt one like that since I left Napier, it was a surprise. About 10 sec into it, I realised that we have 160ft trees only meters from the house that like to drop limbs when Koala's fart, so I thought that we'd better get under the doorway, just in case. Nothing dropped last night but I heard a couple of breaks today.

The c scar is prominent enough that a standard spray paint job would not hide it. Multi coats of brush painting, that's a different story.

Thanks, Keith, I know that in the past we've often butted heads so coming from you that is very much appreciated. And most of the time the comparisons are a challenge to really be able to show in 2D what is going on in 3D. And Dave is right, if someone were to brush on layers of paint it would be easy to lose that kind of detail. So maybe the lines I saw on the front cheek face photo closeup of the eFX were just brush lines and there still might be something underneath? I think we can remember the example of the TM ESB and how that looked like it had no detail but after cleaning it was a treasure trove of amazing detail. Granted it had a much thicker finish on it than the eFX but to be fair we should also wait until someone's stripped one down. It would be funny if there was a remnant of the C-scar actually there. I'll remain optimistic as I await my own eFX's.

I'm not to keen either about polishing out defects in the helmet due to poor packaging on a $1,000.00 item.

And then wouldn't you really need to do the whole thing, making it shinier than it's supposed to be anyway...?
Hello all. This is my first post but I have been reading the rpf on and off for about 7 years. I don't have a side in the "Great C-Scar Debate"
lol but just wanted to ask a question to Sithlord or anyone else that would like to answer. Is the area that I marked in white the area that is in question? When looking at the photo of the mold from EFX, if you look closely there is almost a variation in color in the photo that looks like there could have been something there. What I'm talking about looks like a light gray color variation in the photo

For molds scenarios, if Rick Baker was anything like me he would have made 1 mold for an exact copy and also another 2nd mold for reproducing more helmets.
At this point I don't care either way. I'm tired of wading through pages of blurry pics and screen caps from weird angles with odd lighting that just can't be reproduced for accurate comparisons.
Let's face it, it's not a make it or break it item when it comes to the percieved presence of Darth Vader.
Child: "Hey look dad, it's Darth Vader!"
Father: "No son, it's not. He doesn't have a true C-Scar."
Go spend time with your family and enjoy yourselves and your helmets.

For those who got their helmets, has anyone got their mask and dome in some kind of bag?
I saw pics on Rebelscum of the first helmets having black bags (velvet??) and then I just saw a helmet on ebay with the same bags and a styrofoam squared pad for the dome ..
Were these shipping from 2 differents manufacture or what?
I'm curious since I had nothing in my box, just the parts directly in styrofoam .. and even though I don't have damage to my dome, they should have been wrapped properly!
