eFX ANH DARTH HELMET SAMPLE!!

Has anyone that preordered one of the Legends NOT gotten a payment request? Just wondering if it is going to specific individuals first or as one mass request.

Thats my case. I send efx a couple of e mails explaining this situation (no response by the way), because Bryan told that ALL the legend agreements have been send and is not true. Im still waiting mine.

Maybe they gave your order to someone else and you're really actually waiting for a "limited edition agreement"?

It's not exactly an unlikely scenario. I would press until I get that invoice with the words legend.

Well - I haven't been charged yet & my form was faxed back immediately and Bryan confirmed the Fax.

Problem solved and i got my mail¡¡¡. Bryan told me that since they allocated me a Legend almost a year a go from a cancellation ( i was number 1 on wait list ) literally im not part of the original pre-order. Thats why they send me the agreement until today.:)

I was number 10 on the list but I guess that many didn't drop off......:cry

Dont be so sure...just wait this month.. if i was you i'll be ready for it. Besides, 10 is not bad. There will be more cancellations than you think. You will see...you will see...

Sorry Mark. But you will see them for overprice on ebay as soon as they are in hand. There were already 3 or 4 for sale and not even arrived to the sellers yet...:rolleyes eFX really did an excellent job with shipping for international customers

I think that is a bit unfair jkno. Most overseas shipping rates are $325-460. $460 being Australia that i will vouch is expensive as heck to ship to and from. Romania is $690. There must be some crazy import tax in your country and to blame EFX for it is just wrong. VAT taxes, sales taxes, crazy import fees are not the fault or problem of EFX. You make it sound like they went out of their way to find expensive carriers. Didnt you go on UPS and FEDEXs website and get a quote that was $20 to $35 more expensive? So it looks like they did get a deal for you. It isn't $200 cheaper but they saved you a little. I wouldn't blame Fedex either. There is obviously some serious import tax or fee that your goverment or shipping carriers are charging Fedex.

International buyers have to pay tax on value + shipping charges, so this is all on FedEx being expensive - they don't pay the import tax, fee or anything... that's on the buyer to pay on top of everything else.

USPS quoted this shipment at $150-175 for most of Europe.

Fedex shipping is bordering on criminal for international rates. It amazes me that liscenced companies don't give other options.

Ben

I wonder how much UPS says they want to ship it to romania.

I didn't think USPS would ship something this big. Must be on the limit of size.

They at least should give the option of sea mail. Yes it's a longer wait but you don't have to mortgage your house to pay for it.

Exactly.

They do. Razor's and a couple other shops will ship the Vader LE (same box with Vader LG) by USPS without any problems.

About 5 years ago I quoted someone a price to ship 5 small boxes (11"x14"x18") full of SW figs to Australia. Melbourne I believe. Boxes probably didn't weight 5lbs each. Pretty much any carrier I looked at wanted about $50 a box to ship them. It pretty much killed the deal. Overseas can be expensive as bleep for some reason. If you think about having to carve out the size and weight on an airplane for shipping, well, the vader box is huge...but i've gotten larger in the mail (via fedex or ups) in the past.

The fact that some countries spike as much as they do sounds like they have fees associated with the carrier in those countries or something. Not VAT or taxes on the person, but something like the equivalent of a landing fee at an airport. Or, for the privilege of doing business in <insert country name here> you'll pay us $x a year.

Well I live in Australia and have had many MANY things shipped in and out and I have never come across prices anywhere near as pricey as FEDEX. Yes it can be pricey I won't deny that but not that bad.

I can ship a full suit of fully assembled stormtrooper armour and a helmet for far less than this! And the box is huge!

I've had a lengthy exchange of emails with Bryan related to the international shipping fees as being a fellow european collector who ordered the Legend Helmet, truth is helmet's package is too huge to be considered using USPS, the package's girth being the cause, it leaves us with only UPS or Fedex who will gladly accept bigger packages with of course exceptional fees attached.

I also asked Bryan why some US retailers selling the LE Helmet were offering USPS shipping method with much less higher fees, his response was simple, as a retailer you obviously get a price cut from Efx on each helmet you want to sell and with this in mind, you can play with your margin to absorb more or less shipping fees.

The final word from Bryan was if retailers were offering USPS for international customers, that was a wrong statement as the package just can't be shipped through USPS given its size, they say they're using USPS but will have to use Fedex or UPS in the end and will absorb a big chunk of the shipping fees as a result.

Conclusion is if you are an international customer, retailers is the way to go and I hope Bryan will manage a deal with retailers for future Legend products because the bill can be pretty steep at the end of the day for us.
