EFX 2024 Obi-Wan TPM Legend Edition saber

Hey everyone, Johnny Z here… I’m new to the forum, but man, what a time to be getting back into one of my favorite things as a kid… lightsabers! Especially with all the great examples that have come out of the community recently (and hopefully more to come). Last best examples I knew of as a kid was Larbel and Jedi Vic, and boy have we come a long way. Looking forward to what’s to come!

Regarding the latest EFX Obi TPM… I think they did a fantastic job. Not a fan of the “light weathering” or weathering in general, but not bad overall.

So 2 things:

1. I do like the chamfering on the pommel cubes (not sure how accurate that is to the metal hero prop) but interesting detail as it takes the sharp edge off most interpretations I’ve seen and held. Is that accurate from details the community has learned about this prop so far?

2. Not sure if this was already answered, but is the O-ring a real rubber O-ring or integrated as part of one of the components?

Welcome back to the community, have to say, you have missed a lot if your last was a Larbel;)

These were only just shipped out. No answer on the other ring unless Dewy can answer as he already has his. And it's definitely a pretty aggressive chamfer on those cubes. The hero did not possess that.

Interesting choices on the cubes for sure. I never noticed or paid attention to the chamfer on the cubes before. However, looking back at some of the reference photos the edge of the cubes do appear as though they may have this feature. You can see how the light is reflecting on their edges in both of these photos. I understand the second saber is different from the TPM hero.

Also, until the efx release I had not noticed what appears to be a small indention on the purple rivet. But it also seems to be present in the same reference photos.

Either way as a licensed replica I think they did well and I am excited to be able to compare this prop in person to my Saberz project O1 and AS/Dewy.

…I’m a little surprised no one has mentioned that the EFX replica’s purple rivet has a hex hole! A simple misreading of reference material, or do they know something we don’t?

I did, I said I will be replacing all the buttons with the correct found parts haha ;-D However, in some pictures, it does look like there's a hole of some kind. However NONE of the resin stunt props have that hex indentation. Plus, I believe Dewy and Starkiller researched pretty extensively the found parts that were on that hilt, so unless it's an updated replacement part, I doubt it's accurate. I think, perhaps what is seen, is more of a wear from when the hilt was set down on that side

Has anyone else received tracking? I've received nothing from them. I guess today is the 27th, so we shall see if their "no later than" is true:)

It’s possible there is a hole or something on the AotC..

The TPM definitely seems to have a blunted apex or something. Some of those parts have a little detail there but the purple anodizing is still intact
