Welcome back to the community, have to say, you have missed a lot if your last was a LarbelHey everyone, Johnny Z here… I’m new to the forum, but man, what a time to be getting back into one of my favorite things as a kid… lightsabers! Especially with all the great examples that have come out of the community recently (and hopefully more to come). Last best examples I knew of as a kid was Larbel and Jedi Vic, and boy have we come a long way. Looking forward to what’s to come!
Regarding the latest EFX Obi TPM… I think they did a fantastic job. Not a fan of the “light weathering” or weathering in general, but not bad overall.
So 2 things:
1. I do like the chamfering on the pommel cubes (not sure how accurate that is to the metal hero prop) but interesting detail as it takes the sharp edge off most interpretations I’ve seen and held. Is that accurate from details the community has learned about this prop so far?
2. Not sure if this was already answered, but is the O-ring a real rubber O-ring or integrated as part of one of the components?

These were only just shipped out. No answer on the other ring unless Dewy can answer as he already has his. And it's definitely a pretty aggressive chamfer on those cubes. The hero did not possess that.
I did, I said I will be replacing all the buttons with the correct found parts haha ;-D However, in some pictures, it does look like there's a hole of some kind. However NONE of the resin stunt props have that hex indentation. Plus, I believe Dewy and Starkiller researched pretty extensively the found parts that were on that hilt, so unless it's an updated replacement part, I doubt it's accurate. I think, perhaps what is seen, is more of a wear from when the hilt was set down on that side…I’m a little surprised no one has mentioned that the EFX replica’s purple rivet has a hex hole! A simple misreading of reference material, or do they know something we don’t?
It’s possible there is a hole or something on the AotC..

The TPM definitely seems to have a blunted apex or something. Some of those parts have a little detail there but the purple anodizing is still intact
I also have a theory. The dimple we can see within the purple hemi? Is it a flat spot like on some of the rivets in my previous post, or could it possibly be an ID mark? (Excuse my MS paint mockup)

I stand by that as well!
I still want some of those rivets…
Oh wow, in this zoom in I can totally see it. Never knew about this, so this one is new to me. What are the details behind this found part? Rivet I’m assuming, but where’d it come from?
If there's something on the rivet head I don't think it is what EFX did for this run, that's my opinion of course.
