ED-209 (full scale) Costume/Statue

Another update, yay. (imagines Kermit flailing his arms) Work has really been going fast lately and thank goodness for that. Most of the rear section it now put together, though none of it glued yet, still waiting to add a few more pieces. This way it won't be as off as it is in the picture, you'll notice the two parts at the top that should be at more of an angle; when I add the extra pieces and install struts, it should level out and be more accurate. Please stay tuned for more soon. :}

I use amazing goop gel glue to bond the pieces, then it will be covered inside out with smooth-cast.

how freakin' awesome is this prop! i'm happy with my NECA ED-209... but this bad boy will be one of the coolest "big props" i ever see :)

"Will be even more fun stomping around the neighborhood in. lol

I had forgotten about this, but found you again in my subscriptions. I am excited about this all over again! Great work. Love your level of detail and craftmanship.

I thought I had seen it all! But, YOU my friend have just blown me away!!

AWESOME! Keep up the good work, I cant wait to see this badboy in action!

Wow! Another full-size ED-209 build? I'd only come across thorssoli's current build, wasn't aware of this one. Too kewl!

So, you're going to be wearing as a costume, huh? Awesome :) Never seen that done before myself. What a sight it's going to be.

Just out of curiosity, are you working off a set of 1:1 plans or something? Everything looks so precise, with clean straight edges.

Nothing seems to be off-kilter or anything. All I see in the way of drawings is the one in the background of some of your pics.

Does that mean you've been manually scaling everything, then tracing and cutting out each piece? If so, that's mighty impressive.

Your doing a excellent job FS love the progress you've made bro and so far accurate to the movie one keep up the great work bro.

I just found out about his build, looks boss! Thanks, I wish I had a full scale to work off of; yes the dimensions are mostly eyed and drawn out using hundreds of pictures and a Neca figure I got a month ago. Tedious to say the least, but it yields good results. The bg picture I drew up a year ago when I was still planning it out, just a rough sketch for scale really.

Coincidently I just viewed their work and friended one of them a week ago, lol.

Thanks man, will do.

Thank you to the other comments I have received, I appreciate them.
Sadly I have some bad news, on Saturday I was unable to get Any passes for SDCC, so I will not be participating in the masquerade, which was the reason for the build. (sad face) However the build continues and alternate cons will have to suffice. Now for an update.....I had started work on the top of the back of ED's head, but my head was burned out from the angles that had to be figured out. On top of my job resuming earlier than expected, I decided to just start on the shoulders and here is what I have so far. It's not much at all, but enjoy.

They need to be slightly adjusted before they are glued together, then glued in place.
