Limited Run Droid Caller - Precision Machined Kit

If you can get me a clean scan, I can make the vinyl mask for painting. Or just make the logo in red vinyl.

it would end up being raised, rather than inset, tho.

It would have to be something you put on before painting and remove after because the original one is inset

If the t slot is this piece (without D-ring) :

Then yup, that part would be very useful on it's own...

why not just print a black textured vinyl wrap sheet with the logo printed in white just like the old cameras. The camera bodies had a textured "paper" glued on for grip.

You could simply wrap the sheet around the body. Can be a self stick too... Replaceable...

Does this run feature the disk that screws into the bottom? Not sure what it's called but I need one for my Parks Droid Caller. Thanks!

Yes the kit will include the bottom screw, the original I had did not have it,
VTXfreak gave me some dimensions from his and it should be very close,
the material will be on order by the end of the month!

Yes that is what I am making minus the "D" ring, the ring could be done after

Cool on the t-slot... outside of the droid caller, I could use a couple of those (and I'm sure others would jump all over that as well)

would it be possible to purchase a couple of the kobold mounts and bottom discs separately?

I am getting ready to order the material this weekend, I am going to go with the steel hardware,
the original looks like it was chrome plated brass but chrome plating is not an option for this run,
everything else will be aluminum, I will post pics as I make the parts,

The material will take about a week to come in and I will start as soon as it arrives,
so I expect to start around the week of 10/27/14, I can't promise that it will be done by the end of the year but I will try.

Dave, I just wanted to let you know that I got your left wood grip in a few days ago. Thank you VERY much for that. I Would be super stoked... except that one of my parents went in my room, left the door open, and the dog got in and chewed up the OTHER grip, just 1 day before I got in yours, so, once again, I'm left with one grip. This time I'll just bite the bulletand buy a whole grip, I think, but thanks SO much anyways.

Anyone want to buy a set of MGC wooden gips that have been chewed up and are worth absolutely nothing? :facepalm

...story is starting to sound a little fishy....er doggie.

Bad dog.

Dave must be using dogwood, or pussywillow instead of walnut. ; )

I believe that THIS should tell the story well enough:

I really wanted to weather them to ANH screen accuracy, but now I, once again, am left with one usable grip. :facepalm I WILL throttle the dog later, but not right now, as I'll be busy w/ work the next couple of days.

How the hell is your dog even able to get them? Is it huge? Are you leaving them in the floor? Lol

i can't imagine a scenario after the first offense that you'd put these potentially back in harm's way.
