Dread Size

Hey everyone, new guy here, sorry if this has been posted before but, is there any specific size for dreads? I plan on using backer rods but there are different diameters. Can anyone tell me the the different diameters of your dreads? I think most people have 3-4 different diameters. It'd be awesome if I can get measurements in length of each different diameter too

I know bambooies are 1 1/8th inch. But I believe most people will make 1 inch, 3/4, and 1/2 inch

dreads must be long enough to have a good looking movement not look like a porcupine ,thickness must be proportional to the length !I think it's not a rule somewhere for this parameters , each predator looks different from other ,make three different sizes ,longer ones to the top of the head and others put it gradually as far as cheeks!

What Impaiatu is saying is correct make them so they have a nice swing to them. Generally most dreads will be about 24 inches long,

30 large dreads. approx. 24" long (1 inch diameter)

12 small dreads approx. 5" long (5/8 inch diameter)

I belive.

Some poeple use Backer rod foam coated in plasti dip rubber spray.

I hope this helps im running off of 2 hours of sleep need coffee.

be ok?
Or is that too much?
