It feels like everyone is staying at the Westin this year. Might be there next year as well.

I counted each and every piece for my costume and it's over 20 pieces. And I have most of them. But I'm a little stressed out because there are 3 more things to order, two of which are a little expensive, not really, but sorta expensive at least when I'm low on funds.
Doing my best NOT to flip out and get super stressed. But Aug 1st is Friday!
Plus one of the items on it's way requires some fabrication and painting before it's done.
My break from finishing the costume was short lived.
I'm sure it will work out fine in the end. I hope. I hope. I hope. LOL
My Dad and I are going to go see Guardians of The Galaxy this weekend, so that will be a nice way to stay de-stressed!
Hope everyone else's costumes are going well.

I'm so stoked for this movie. I think Bradley Cooper is the perfect voice for Rocket. Which was my favorite character when I read some of the comics.

How much is that event? Or does it come with a D'Con membership? Any cover charge to get in?

I'm actually going twice. Once by myself so I can see it in 3D and then I'm going with my Dad but we are going to watch the non-3D version because my Dad hates 3D. haha

Some people aren't huge 3D fans. Some movies are not meant to be seen that way.

Yeah I agree, it's a personal preference. My Dad and I saw Star Trek: Into Darkness in 3D and when it was over he said "Son, that 3D hurts, I don't like the new 3D" So ever since we see movies together in regular non-3D. The 3D doesn't bother me, and for epic movies, the kind of movies where it's better to see it in theaters I like the 3D. The 3D that messes me up is IMAX 3D - it's too much.

For me its the price sometimes. I prefer seeing regular movies so I don't have to pay out a ton of money.

I feel ya. Going to the movies and getting snacks is expensive. That's why I wear cargo shorts so I can smuggle in my snacks. But still things like 3D and IMAX versions will hit the bank account hard.

I remember in the 90's when I was in High School going to the colony square 12 theater in Louisville CO, which was the town over from where I grew up in Lafayette, CO and my friends and I are the reason why backpacks got banned from that theater. Someone would ask and we would say "No, we don't have anything, it's just our book bag from school" when in fact it was a candy smugglers paradise that would make the likes of Han Solo blush.

That's why I love inside pockets in jackets, and cargo pockets on pants ;D but especially inside jacket pockets. I had some that could hold an awful lot of stuff haha. I am also going to go see Guardians this weekend, which if its as awesome as I think it's going to be I will owe mr. Gunn a handshake at dragoncon xD
