Dr Fate helmet, new 52 comic style, wip

Small update,
The winter storm and weather has slowed everything to a crawl.
But the waste mold is done and will be ready to make a waste cast.
There is more coats to the rubber, but thats all the pics that was taken.

The resin waste cast is done.
And i hate it.







The top left side is slightly depressed.
The fin has to go.
So of the foamie strips lifted, so it is uneven and has some gaps.

Lots of work ahead.

Heat it up with a heat gun and adjust it. It looks pretty damn good. Nice to see something other than batman and ironman stuff

Due to the bad winter storms, work has slow to non existence.
And of course my 9-5 job is extra busy.

Trying some different stuff with the trim treatment, some gradual blending or more of a ledge.
Also need to rework the fin, have some symmetry issues...

Project update:
Dr. Fate helmet, new 52 style. Tore the helmet apart to work on the symmetry issue.
Still have more work ahead.

A little test.
Added a removable module for light up eye. When put in the helmet, there is no visibility.
So, its only for a pretty display. The led module will be controlled by a small wireless remote
