Double H's Cobra Predator - The Evolution Of A Predator (Wip)

Next thing on the agenda ...... the cannon arm. I think will be attempting to do this separate from the backpack this time, it seemed to cause way too many issue with the last one.

Will keep you posted

Better way to construct it and attach it I guess lol I have an Idea for both but just wondered for abit of suggestion lol

not seen the original film one,but i would use aluminium plate if backpack strong enough.

Hmmm... interesting idea, but not sure am gonna change the backplate. Maybe reinforce somehow but actually its pretty strong at the mo. Thinking of bolting the arm to it.

Ok, I think I may have come up with an idea.

Basically, two pieces of pile or in my case Plexi-glass, one piece on either side of the armour (underneath and one on top). Then a block of wood cut to an angle and a piece of PVC pipe (40mm in this case - thanks Tony) bolted together using 2 long bolts. The two pieces of plastic will be held together using the 2 bolts, and then a further 2 bolts either side of the rig.

Then I started to contruct the rig. Once perfected etc, the whole thing will be decorated out and disguised.

What you think?

Looking great so far, I used bits from bionicle toys for my removable cannon mount,

You'll only be able to put a lightweight cannon on it though, but as my cannon is mainly foam it seems to be working ok and it clicks on and off easily.

Just an idea for you, it's quick, easy and adjustable

Time for an update....

Ok had a test of the arm and attached it to the armour and cannon mounted

Next I added the details, primer'd and painted up. Still needs weathering, ageing and my patented rust up lol

great thread...and a solid build.

one of the few threads that serve as motivation to noobs to show ..

yes you can build a quality suit without dropping a house payment on it.

Thanks Andrew, that means alot coming from you man. Glad that my suit build can be seen as an inspiration to newer members... its been a journey but I have and am still loving every minute of it.

Weight is still pretty much the same, maybe a little lighter than before but the straps that I added under the armour have been tightened and now hold all the armour in place so no movement lol Thanks for the pipe man, came in really handy.

Also, the cannon now stays upright and doesn't wobble around all the time lol
