Done / Completed DONE

My hook arrived this morning and I must say that I am both impressed as well as a bit disappointed. Firstly, it arrived with absolutely no dings or scratches at all! Other than a hairline tilt of the hook (when looking at it head on from the front), there are no cosmetic issues with the piece. I am in awe of its beauty and I can not stop staring at it.
I guess you can call yourself very lucky then. I mean: Sarednab never claimed this would be the ideal hook for cosplay. He wanted to make a hook that is as screen accurate as possible. If you see that some other hooks are dented or heavily scratched, you should be VERY glad yours is OK, I guess...

I must say my hook was pretty well packed. Could been better, but I also had props sent to me in the past that were much worse packed.

My pieces were first wrapped in newspaper. Than in plastic bags, and then each piece was wrapped in a bubblewrap bag and put in the cardboard box. DHL opened mine it seems (there was yellow-red DHL tape on one side). I guess for customs purposes. But they didn't take the pieces out of the bubblewrap and just taped the box again. I'm pretty sure most of the dents and scratches are the factories fault, not due to shipping...

My hook arived no dents and scratches Lucky me, but the hook attatched it stand in a angle a little.
The locking mechanism is poor and the inside handle is placed to low it has to be a little higher to the top.
i will rework this, iam glad to recieved this wonderfull piece.
Thanks sarenab for your help.

Got my Hook!!! It is stunning! There are some scratches, but nothing too heavy, and the top is tilted too, but to be honest, it's so beautiful, that it doesn't matter! Awesomeness!

Will post pictures later today :)

Got mine and I am very pleased. A few flat spots on the base of the hook plate producing scratches on the dome; easily tapped out to restore the roundness. Then I buffed the heck out of the edge so it it smooth enough to no longer scratch. The existing scratches buffed out easily. The hook is slightly tilted but it is in the correct direction for usefulness so I prefer to think of it as on purpose. [emoji18]
The grab bar is located perfectly for wear, IMHO, and the weight seems doable for costume use; but I am used to very uncomfortable costumes. I own a lot of high end prop replicas and this is one of my favorites. Thank you, Sarednab, for tackling this very difficult project, and making this possible to own for all of us.
