Limited Run DL44 TFA Blaster Kit

Got my kit yesterday, finished it in about two hours! Super awesome quality, I was floored by the detail in these parts and only three parts needed cleanup of flashing, everything else just a light sanding and away to the races.

Wow, top job and in record time, that looks great and I see you have just joined the family.
Dave does do a great job I have one of his ANH kits and will get in on the next TFA run.

Great work and welcome

Nice! Did you use only paint or any bluing? What method did you use for attaching the mount? Did you gut the internals?

Mate, I need you working for me, are you for hire? :D

Please, upload more pictures, the mount attaching, etc, etc...

The scope and flash hider I used aluminum black (although I am seriously rethinking the scope as it's too matte a finish compared to the real prop), and the rest of the parts and the pistol are all painted. The pistol with gloss paint and the accessories with a matte paint.

I wanted to blue the mount and the grill, but they would not take the bluing compound very well so I elected for paint.

The internals are not gutted, this is still a fully functional airsoft pistol - I run my local player's club and will be using this as my "admin gun" lol.

Thanks for the reply, the pistol looks nice! Did you end up cutting the barrel down?

I'm surprised the aluminum black came out that matte, it always ends up still being shiney when I used it on my Obi saber. I had to spray it with matte clearcoat to get it looking like that.

Nice job! Just use some paste wax to even up the shine over the whole piece. Protects it too.

drilled and thread the holes for the bracket yesterday. No issue at all, still fireing. (hfc 712). But bevare of the trigger mechanism inside, it can be in the way for the hole in the back of the gun.
(sory for the poor quality)

Yeah that 's why it is best to disassemble the gun before drilling the crossbar mounting holes.

Did you end up using the plastic plate on the other side? What did you do to the grips to get that darker color?

Scope refinished, and pic of the mounting bracket;

Gorgeous! When you cut the barrels down, did you separate them from each other, or just cut them both at the same time
in one piece? I have my pistol disassembled, but can't see how to get the barrels apart.

Again, great looking blaster!
