I was at Anaheim Galaxy's Edge last week. I definitely wanted it to be bigger, but I spent a lot of time taking pictures of every minute detail - and there's LOTS of detail.
Rise of the Resistance is the showpiece, of course, and we got some useful advice about getting in.
As you probably know, you need to register through the Disney app at 8:00 am on the day you want to go and your entire party needs to be on Disneyland grounds. There will be hundreds of people trying to register at the same time and all the spots get filled in less than a minute.
- do NOT use Disney WiFi. Use your cellular. WiFi will get choked with traffic and I have heard of folks who had trouble getting in. Find an elevated location with as many reception bars as possible. My family was all using Verizon and it seems we had more bars when we stood apart from each other.
- if you have more than one person with a cellphone, have one of them open a browser to time.gov to cue the others to open their app at 7:57 am.
- multiple people in your party can try at the same time, but remember to to have all your tickets registered on each other's apps.
At the 8am blitz we got in group 34.
With all the trouble I think ROTR got a little overhyped in my mind but I wasn't disappointed at all. I just wanted a longer experience. There were definitely some jaw-dropping moments. Try to go in without spoilers, if possible, and you'll get the most out of it.
