Sounds like fun. So glad I have my pass!
Sounds like the whole attraction will be complete sooner then later!

Disney Imagineering is almost always late, I wouldn't bank too much on that completion date.
Wish I knew how to get a hold of the costume department to get them some accurate lenses ;P
But Disney has never owned a franchise as big as STAR WARS and they are motivated to get the land open before the 3rd film of the trilogy to capitalize on that.
The he other thing I'm slightly disappointed about is the changes to geography that will have to be made. Ok, so what it doesn't really matter to me that they're taking out thunder ranch but rerouting the rivers of America and the Disneyland railroad. I don't really like that idea. The Rivers of America and the DLRR are so iconic it would be a tragedy for them to be overrun by Star Wars. *sigh* oh well let come what may
You make some good points here. It's definitely too early to tell. That would be interesting if it increased the length of the ROA, but if they merely changed its position and route with little effect on its length I would be happy with that too. I guess in the end it won't be that big of a deal. I'm confident the imagineers will be make it awesome. That's not that big of a deal, remember, they're just re-routing and we've yet to see how the re-routing is going. Besides, it's pretty much a necessity given where they're shoehorning in Star Wars Land. If it's back there between Fontierland and Fantasyland like everyone believes it to be they have to re-route both since there's not enough room there since that part of the park butts up right against the RoA and the DRR follows the river back there. Who knows, maybe this will mean an expansion of the RoA meaning you'd get to spend more time on the Mark Twain and the Columbia, on the downside is that means the canoes become much more a chore than they already are, but a longer river would certainly make the annual cast member canoe races an even greater challenge.
