Got it yesterday in work, finally got it home today. Had to walk back just under a mile going home. The Mouse traversed the terrain pretty good, even when slightly rough, and avoiding the occasional dogiedoo with ease. Then the battery died round the corner from the house and I had to carry it the rest of the day. Bearing in mind we'd been playing with it in work (not too much, not too little) so it probably would have made the trip otherwise. It struggles uphill, and I was wondering whether the problem was gravity or the batteries, but he rolls pretty far and fast going downhill.

Hopefully they'll release it again and we could have one for the office!

Have opened up the mouse now. The battery pack is super small for an RC of this size. I haven't tested it for voltage and amperage yet, but I'll be doing that to find out what sort of extended range battery I can slap in here.

Am also going to be installing a switch to disconnect the built in speaker and installing an SD card based speaker amp inside to let it play mouse sounds when I want it to, rather than every time I move it.

Got some pictures of the electronics?

Also worth noting that the side panels just pop off quite easily, so they are very easy to modify for accessibility or custom features. Like a tiny mouse puppet in Imperial staff officer dress to pop its head out. Or a chain gun, rocket launchers, candy dispenser, fog machine, whatever.

Yeah, I use them for smuggling. I'd never thought I'd be smuggling myself in them.
