Dexter Season 1 Ice Truck Killer Doll

If you don't mind me asking, how much was it?

And if you could, could you post the page for reference? I'd like to maybe track this one down.

As of right now, there is an Aaylsa doll on ebay, but it doesn't seem to have the right head.

It was about £20 plus shipping from France, so for a doll it was pretty extortionate, but I LOVE this show so I just eventually had to have it.

The old (finished) auction was this one.

I wish I had this seen this earlier. It would have saved me a ton of research time. I was able to snag one a while back. It was steep, over 20 Euro plus the same in shipping to the states but it was worth it. Howlrunner, did you chop yours up? I was going to try and make a display with the doll dismembered.

This thread is so sick & wrong on so many levels, lol... But I love Dexter, so I have to say bravo for all the effort!

Word of friendly advice: if you display her in a shadow box and bring home a girl for the first time, PLEASE make sure ahead of time that she's a Dexter fan!!! Either that, or have a video camera hidden nearby so it can capture the shock, disgust, and terror in her face when her eyes first fall on it. :lol

Just chopped her up. I'm going to buy a nice shadow box to put her in tomorrow.

Finished my display. Had to take the picture from the side so the flash didn't light up the glass. It looks much better in normal light. The flash is quite harsh.

VERY nice! I really like your display - looks great. :)

Just one thing - I think the neck on the actual prop is cut to make it shorter.

I just got Season 2 on DVD for Christmas so I'm motivated to finish this up myself.

I think you're correct. I didn't have the guts to do much more to the doll. I was going to heatgun the right hand and bend it to have her hold a little pink doll mirror but I decided to stop before I screwed the whole thing up.

Awesome prop! Can you share how you cut the parts? It's such a clean cut..

Also is there an official name for the doll needed? I can't figure it out from the box..

Thanks

Instead of using a heat gun, see if you can dip the hand from the wrist down into boiling water. You should be able to get it flexible enough to bend it it to the pose you want, then clamp and glue it into place. I do this when modifying action figures all the time - It softens the plastic so that I can swap heads and limbs. It's probably the safest way when dealing with doll/action figure plastic.

I just used a utility knife and pressed straight through. The plastic isn't really that dense. I just searched for what's on the box. They are getting hard to find.

hi there been looking for the ALYSA doll online but cant seem to find it anywhere, can anyone help me locate one? (im in the UK)

many thanks
