Dexter: Blood Slide Case

Yeah, I second a good look at Dexter's police I.D. - that would be great.

I'd be interested to know if the "Greetings from Miami" postcard is a found item, or was made especially for the production (and good photos of the front and back would be nice!):

Found the knife although Im almost positive that the back of the blade was cut like a hunting knife after they bought it as well as brushing the handle to give a different finish.

I think I deserve a pat on the back, although I could be waaaaaaaaay off :lol

Even if they're ID or Badge requests (please include a pic - even a blurry one ).

Unfortunately no info on episode numbers, but I believe these are all Season 2 promo photos which show the I.D. cards:

About the blood running out of the slides issue, I have to completely disagree. Maybe if you use something that doesnt completely dry but for blood, it would look exactly like they portray it.

I may start an interest thread soon in the JY for the Trophy Box. I will talk with my father and figure out when he can have a rough prototype finished for show. I need measurements first though.

If you look closely at the handle you can see that the blade is full tang and the handle is two pieces unlike the ones you posted.
I'm beginning to think this was custom made.

ahh ok I see, Well, its kind of close. I guess it could be custom made. I refuse to believe it though because that means Ill never get one.

Please put me down on the list!

If I invest the time & trouble of securing - accurate Trophy Box (TB) measurements & images,
I intend to make & offer for sale - a dozen (or so) TBs myself. My target price-range $99.99!

I would love to get the dimensions. It would be a fun wood project, my wife LOVES wooden boxes, and she has really gotten interested in the show(Yay, NetFlix streaming).

So long as you're not planning to start a business venture (without even offering to make me one), ...I'll make sure that you're one of the 1st to get those measurements. :cool

While I have to admit, after joining this site, I have seen the possibility of making some money in prop production, I have no plans on making and selling the slide case.(Or any thing else.)
I make my mad money flipping used bikes. Need a late 80s Nishiki MTB or an early seventies Schwinn? :)

So, the company who originally sold the box used in the show - did they make it also - or could they be asked to divulge whom manufactured the boxes for them??
There were several links before, which one was the company that originally offered THE box?

The company I contacted whose box matched what we saw is the seller and original manufacturer of the box, but they discontinued it.

I sent them an email asking them if they could provide manufacturer information and they said they were were the original makers and discontinued them because it wasn't selling.

I think if there is enough of us here interested, we could maybe convince the manufacturer to restart production if they have a minimum requirement.
I'm sure production wouldn't mind buying a few cases for backup!

Yea, same thing they told me. Usually a minimum order for a place like that is a really big number though, I don't think we have any chance of that.

Ok, I'm out...
