Dexter: Blood Slide Case

I just got into watching this show and I am hooked. Picked up season one on Blu ray and been on a marathon watching spree for the past two days.
I would like to see this prop officially licensed and offered for sale, but in the meantime I will keep my eye on the Ebay offerings - but since the price tends to reach upwards of $300 I will have to pass unless a $150 price tag becomes its BIN price.

A Rubies blood slide case would be electric blue with white trim, and the plastic slides inside would have day glow orange dots on them for the blood.

Hey guys, just watching the thread for a while.
I'm a big fan of Dexter's show, I was sure that he told what he used to make his fake blood. Took sometime today to find in which episode.

Season 2 Episode 5 At about 22:50
Lila ask him: What's this stuff?
Dex: Corn syrup and dye. It's my own recipe.

Never tried to do it, so don't know if it looks good, Just trying to give some help. :thumbsup

My father owns a woodworking shop and is highly skilled at making anything you can imagine with wood.
I had him watch a few episodes of Dexter last week and afterwards, talked with him a little about doing a 'run' of replica boxes.
He would be willing to make some, but before we can go ahead with a prototype, we need all available specs - the kind that only the hardcore fans will know to look for.
If anyone has any links to the correct brackets, hinges and all that stuff, please let me know. Accurate measurements would be very helpfull. The intent is to have the 'double slide' slots.
My plan is to try and keep the cost around $150 without slides.
I will start an interest thread soon...

Modeleers, you are the man! I don't suppose your friend can hook us up with the brand/model or whatever of Dexter's green army-type kill pants, can he?

Nice pics of the Ice Truck Killer's photos left at crime scenes
ID badges
What's the tiny text on the blood slide case...
Exact model/type of hammer Trinity used.
umm..... If I see anything else I'll post it.

I also want to get some pictures on the police badges!
And any ID badges, especially Dexter, Deb, and Masuka.

I'd like to know what this knife is:

Plz?

This is a pretty good deal!
I was going to ask about the pants but Risu beat me to it!
I'd say first off, if you could get as many detailed photos as you can on the trophy box including measurements and any other info on it that would aid in making a suitable replica.
Who knows...next time the prop master needs a spare trophy box, he may stop by the RPF to get one!
