Got some work done on the chestpiece. The template was created by using bristol board on my own torso. I then transferred that to eva foam. The shape was glued together using barge cement and the additional armor build was applied in the same way.

Steps I put up on my Facebook page.
1- I made a basic template out of bristol board and transferred that to eva foam.
2- Using barge glue (which is my new favorite glue for foam builds) I assembled the basic chest form.
3- I then made a new template for the top armor plate and also cut that out of eva and attached that to the previous underarmor. I then trimmed and rounded the underarmor using a Dremel.

I am kind of back tracking here but I had some questions as to how I got the shape of the chest piece. The bristol board template was created on my mannequin. Then after it was refined on my body it was transfered to some scrap foam to make a foam mock up. That foam mock up was then cut up and transferred to the final foam base. Then additional eva foam is glued on top using Barge cement to make the outer shell of the armor.
