Denuo Novo (only) New and existing products

I just received shipping notice from Denuo Novo on the First Order Snowtrooper helmet I ordered during the May 4th event. No ETA yet.

Just got the snowtrooper in. It's nice.

Kind of an awkward problem. It's a lot bigger than I imagined. It doesn't fit properly in an IKEA Kallax the shelf. The only way to make it fit is at an angle.

It looks so much better on the stand anyway. It kind of disappears in a white shelf.

I love the profile on that helmet.

I agree it does look better on a stand. The only downside to putting it on top of the shelf is having to lower my melted Vader.

This helmet is replacing my custom Phasma.

The Target Brightroom shelves are 1/4-inch wider and taller than the Kallax, so the helmet actually fits in those. The Target shelves are also 3/4-inch less deep (14.75 inches compared to 15.5). Not sure how the Walmart Better Home & Gardens shelves compare.

UPS is still showing my First Order Snowtrooper helmet arriving tomorrow, but if I look at the tracking history it only shows "On the way" and that it has left WI, but nothing after that. I'm a little worried there's a disconnect somewhere and it's not arriving tomorrow. I hope I am wrong.

UPDATE: I WAS WRONG! I just received an email from UPS stating that it's arriving tomorrow. WOO HOO!!!

This is by far the heaviest helmet I own. When I read it was made of fiberglass, I thought that meant the bucket, but the dome would for sure be ABS or something. NOPE! It's all fiberglass and thick and solid and heavy. I am seriously impressed. I would never want to troop in this thing. My neck and back would be aching so bad after a couple of hours.

This is not as tall as the Denuo Novo Imperial Royal Guard helmet, but it is much wider and I would say has a bigger presence about it. It's a beautiful helmet.

The back is kinda boring.

Does anyone have experience with the Cassian Andor jacket? Does it run large or small? The sizing for costumes is so all over the place with Denuo Novo. I got an Imperial Officer tunic in XXL and was swimming in it but I got the Solo jacket in XL and couldn't move.

Has anyone successfully contacted Denuo Novo since the middle of April? I have been attempting to reach out to their customer service email address for over a month now to no avail. Not sure what else to do.

Son of a B!tch! I just received an email from Denuo Novo suggesting I use my Rewards points, so I decided to check it out and they have added more redemption brackets...

The $350 is gone, but now there's a $250. Why couldn't that have been there when I ordered the First Order Snowtrooper helmet?

Unfortunately they also added this...

I clicked "Decline" and it emptied my cart and took me out of the check out process.

I'm not saying it's happening with Denuo Novo, but I am sure there are quite a few companies right now that have added tariff fees just to squeeze a few more bucks out of customers even if they are for the most part unaffected. Or saying 'well we have an additional Tariff mark-up to cover the unexpected tariff future'.... I know I could be just conspiracy theorizing, but people are always trying to make a buck too....

I'm not in the US, I still ge the U.S. Import Tariff Surcharge fee. If I decline it empties my cart.
My cart already shows my address, so they know I'm not in the US.
Are they manufacturing oversees, shipping to the US, and then shipping to the customer from there? Making it needlessly expensive for everyone?
I'm not spending more because of politic tomfoolery, so I guess I won't be buying helmets for a while.

Why would you think a company that imports many products from China would not be affected by tariffs? Of course the expenses will be higher, that is what tariffs do. Tariffs are either a way for the government to make money without it being a "tax" or it is meant to discourage importing those items from that country. Americans should expect most items to be more expensive. There are very few products that aren't imported or have parts that aren't imported.

For some companies, this could impact people outside of America because the company imports items into the US then sends the items to the customer outside the US. Some retail companies may be able to route imports directly to other countries where there is a smaller or no tariff, but not every company is set up to do that.

Or just having the logists at a Free-trade zone - Wikipedia would solve that, too since those are "outside" in terms of duties and only when stuff enters the country fully the tax happens. if the stuff leaves the country to other countries no import tax applies for the intermediate stop.

Edit: wikipedia translation linking trolled me
