Denuo Novo (only) New and existing products

I also got the email and my points have gone up from 582 to 5,167 BUT it still says Bronze Tier and $627.91 spent so it's still not right.
The points look OK but the spend and Tier still looks to be only based on my order in November for the Death Trooper Specialist rather than the 7 helmets I have bought since October 2021
 
Just got the following email. My points total is correct now for prior orders.

I received the same thing, but two concerns:
  1. They still have me listed as Bronze even though I have well over 3,000 points.
  2. I clicked on the Login button in the email and it had some sort of malware attached and took me to some site that attempted to take over my computer. BE CAREFUL! I did reply back to them informing them of it.
 
I received the same email about my Rewards Balance being updated. I sent them an email about it a few days ago. I don't know if my email prompted the balance update or they are doing that for all customers automatically.

I just happened to email them again this morning and thought this was a direct response, but now that I see everyone got it I am guessing it was just a coincidence.

I also let them know I am still showing as Bronze.

I was just checking out the list of helmets at Denuo Novo since I now have about $320 in reward points I can spend and only now realized they have no helmet representation from Episodes I or II. Granted that TPM was pretty limited on helmets. All I can think of are:
  • Anakin's pod race helmet
  • Naboo Pilot
  • Naboo Soldier
It just seems weird to have nothing from these movies. Though I also have to admit I would not be looking to order any of the three I listed in the near future, so I guess it makes sense.

An AOTC Phase I Clone Trooper helmet is another story and the Clone Pilot would be pretty cool too.
 
Does anyone know what DN is planning to do with the new tariffs being enforced? I was thinking they have some manufacturing that happens in the U.S., but some of it is still overseas. Are they going to pass on the extra cost to the buyer?

I haven't seen any mention of tariff policy from Denuo Novo. Some sellers have mentioned small surcharges for Hot Toys, but that was before the higher tariffs for China were announced. They are probably waiting to see if the rate settles on a firm number. At the moment it seems to be huge rates to scare the other side. Having over 100% tariffs on Chinese imports will make it unreasonable for people to buy these products.

I wonder how items that have already been ordered will be handled. I don't think it is reasonable to expect the customer to pay double or more after placing the order.

And buyers outside of the US get double shafted. first the US taxes and then from next transport step import duties on the raised price.

That might depend on how the tariff is collected. If it is included in the price or a separate fee.

This is certainly an uncertain time for the buyers and sellers of collectibles.

Points expire 365 days after they have been earned.

Looks like all members start at Bronze and you have to spend $1500 over a rolling 12 month period to move up to Silver or $2500 for Gold. Tier status is valid for 1 year

Yes, you can redeem your rewards during site-wide sales. However, coupon codes cannot be combined with Rewards redemptions.

Yeah, I wasn't sure about this as I have a Hot Toys item on pre-order that's almost $300. With the current tariffs in place it will end up over $600. I called Sideshow and asked and the rep told me that they’re not sure how it’s going to be handled yet, especially with it constantly changing right now. They’re going to do their best not to impact the buyers. So for now I am keeping my order open. It’s not supposed to ship until June at the earliest. Luckily I only have one open order and luckily I don't have any life-sized items as those would be insane at the moment.

If you go to the Sideshow Help Center they have an area that addresses Tariffs and she told me they will update as they know more. Right now it's pretty general.

Hopefully the that's 365 days from 4/2/2025 when the points were assigned. I'm guessing it was since some of my orders are way over a year old. We actually benefitted greatly from this one.

Personally, I don't ever see myself achieving Gold status as $2500 is a minimum of four helmets in a single year. I guess it could happen, but pretty unlikely.

I do hope you are not just limited to 1 reward per order because IF that is the case I would need to place 6 orders in the next 12 months and can't see that happening.

If they run a promotion during either Celebration or May 4th then I would be tempted to pick up the Patrol Trooper, regular Death Trooper or Muddy Mando

I just placed something in my cart and went to check out. I did not apply any rewards to it because I didn't want to risk losing them, but the highest it reward to be applied was $90 off. Not sure if I apply those that it will allow me to apply again or not.

I don't think they did a sale last year for May 4th or Celebration. If they do this year I may have to pick up something and take advantage of these rewards.



Also, I have emailed DN asking about the tariffs and how they plan to handle them. I will post up here once I receive a response.
 
There is a Rewards History button that shows when your points will expire.

It sounds like Denuo Novo will have a Celebration sale.

Thanks for both pieces of information.

Now we just need to know if we can use more than one reward per order and the impact of tariffs. Bring on the Celebration sale!

I do have a feeling we're going to be limited to a $90 reward at most per order.
